Something a little interesting, I guess. Put your music program/mp3 player, etc. on shuffle and knock out the categories. Most may not fit very well and some songs can be perfect: (and no, I don't consider it a game :p)
Opening credits: "Good Morning, Good Morning" - The Beatles Waking up: "Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue" - The Ramones Average day: "The Times They Are A-Changin" - Bob Dylan First date: "I Shall Be Released" - Bob Dylan and The Band Falling in love: "Simple Twist Of Fate" - Bob Dylan Fight Scene: "This Land Is Your Land" - Bob Dylan and The Rolling Thunder Revue (lmao) Breaking Up: "When I'm Sixty Four" - The Beatles Getting Back Together: "The Battle Of Evermore" - Led Zeppelin Life's Ok: "Ring Them Bells" - Bob Dylan Mental Breakdown: "High Water (For Charley Patton)" - Bob Dylan Driving: "The Bed's Too Big Without You" - The Police Flashback: "Chainsaw" - The Ramones Partying: "Silent Weekend" - Bob Dylan and The Band Happy Dance: "Blowin' In The Wind" - Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers Regretting: "I Don't Believe You" - Bob Dylan and the Rolling Thunder Revue Long Night Alone: "Murder By Numbers" - The Police Death Scene: "Santa Fe" - Bob Dylan and The Band Ending Credits: "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" - Tears For Fears (lol)
My soundtrack, as is my mp3 player (on shuffle at least) dominated by Dylan...
Hey, how's it going?

Do we just apply those categories to whatever pops up in order? Or do we pick, from the songs that come up, the ones that are most suitible for that category? Eh, well, I'm too lazy to do the latter, and I'm curious to see what comes up (I have a lot of stuff I barely listen to... I forget what's in there), so I'll just apply the categories in order. Opening Credits: "Second Hand Smoke" - Slowblow Waking Up: "Street Spirit (Fade Out)" - Radiohead Average Day: "Can't Make a Sound" - Elliott Smith First Date: "13 Stiches" - NOFX Falling in Love: "Tangerine" - Led Zeppelin Fight Scene: "New York" - The Sex Pistols Breaking Up: "Sequent 'c'" - Tangerine Dream Getting Back Together: "Tracy" - Mogwai Life's OK: "Untitled" - Mogwai Mental Breakdown: "To Ramona" - Bob Dylan Driving: "I Love That Man" - Devendra Banhart Flashback: "Israel's Son" - Silverchair Partying: "Love to You" - The Beatles (What kind of weird-ass party am I at? ) Happy Dance: "Fikus" - Phish Regretting: "Weird" - Menomena Long Night Alone: "Paperhouse" - Can Death Scene: "Sourpuss" - Fishbone Ending Credits: "Love Rollercoaster" - Red Hot Chili Peppers Some of these worked really well (fight scene = Sex Pistols), but most of them are just really funny (Elliott Smith is my everyday music? The fuck? Am I clinically depressed?) It's nice to see only one band showed up more than once. High-five to over 40 GB of music.

"Somebody told me when the bomb hits, everybody in a two mile radius will be instantly sublimated, but if you lay face down on the ground for some time, avoiding the residual ripples of heat, you might survive, permanently fucked up and twisted like you're always underwater refracted. But if you do go gas, there's nothing you can do if the air that was once you is mingled and mashed with the kicked up molecules of the enemy's former body. Big-kid-tested, motherf--ker approved."

I think my "first date" is worse than yours. "13 Stitches" ? Do I get stabbed or something? Am I trying to get in Jeffery Dalmer's pants?

Gary P. Nunn - "London Homesick Blues" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_kbZ7ae2wfk' ...Well, when you're down on your luck, and you ain't got a buck, in London you're a goner. Even London Bridge has fallen down, and moved to Arizona, now I know why. And I'll substantiate the rumor that the English sense of humor is drier than the Texas sand. You can put up your dukes, and you can bet your boots, that I'm a' leavin' just as fast as I can.
Chorus; I wanna go home with the armadillo. Good country music from Amarillo and Abilene. The friendliest people and the prettiest women you've ever seen.
Well it's cold over here, and I swear, I wish they'd turn the heat on. And where in the world is that English girl, I promised I would meet on the third floor. And of the whole damn lot, the only friend I got, is a smoke and a cheap guitar. My mind keeps roamin', my heart keeps longin' to be home in a Texas bar.
Chorus
Well, I decided that, I'd get my cowboy hat and go down to Marble Arch Station. 'Cause when a Texan fancies, he'll take his chances, and chances will be takin, now that's for sure. And them Limey eyes, they were eyein' a prize, that some people call manly footwear. And they said you're from down South, and when you open your mouth, you always seem to put your foot there.' Chorus

I was extremely bored, So I decided to put together a sequel: Opening Credits: "Say Ten" - Reel Big Fish Waking Up: "Something I Learned Today" - Hüsker Dü Average Day: "Bone Broke" - The White Stripes First Date: "Scenester" - Big D & The Kids Table Falling in Love: "Blood On His Lips" - The Scientist Fight Scene: "Theme" - The Descendents Breaking Up: "45-56 That's My Number/Ball & Chain" - Sublime Getting Back Together: "Dub Along" - The Upsetters Life's OK: "Breaking the Girl" - Red Hot Chili Peppers Mental Breakdown: "Point/Counterpoint" - Streetlight Manifesto (very lyrically fitting) Driving: "Welcome to Reality" - The Adolescents (road rage?) Flashback: "Smile Out of Style" - Max Romeo Partying: "Clams Have Feelings Too (Actually They Don't)" - NOFX Happy Dance: "Rodeo in Joliet" - The Jesus Lizard Regretting: "This Ain't Hawaii" - Screeching Weasel Long Night Alone: "You Could Feel the Sky" - Boards of Canada Death Scene: "No Reason" - Against All Authority (I'm going to die to an upbeat ska song about racism? Alright then.) Ending Credits: "Riot" - The Mad Caddies Hmmm... I'm not really satisfied with that one. It just kind of sat in two or three genres the whole time. And now I'm bored again.
