I remember a Bonanno member who lost his chence to be a Don because he didn`t know how to speak english, I don`t recall his name. I wanna aks about Carlo Gambino, Jospeh Profaci, Vito Genovese, Thomas Gagliano, Thomas Lucchese and other bosses from Italy, how did they speak english? If they spoke very well, well with a strong acent, so-so, etc...

It's hard to answer your question, DPN, because all of those guys avoided any kind of publicity--anytime they saw a newspaper, radio or TV reporter nearby, they either ran or covered their faces. The only reason I know about Joe Bonanno not speaking English very well is that he gave some interviews at the time of publication of his autobiography.

Costello spoke english just like you and me. So did Giancana, Tony Accardo, and Joe Valachi - all those they have on film.
