Who is the current acting Boss, acting Underboss and acting Consigliere of the DeCavalcante Family in New Jersey? I have done a lot of research on this subject on the internet and I have only learned that Frank Guaracci is the current acting Boss of the Family, but I have also learned that sources on the internet aren't always up-to-date. \:p

No sources are ever really up to date when trying to make sense out of the musical-chairs game that constitutes today's Mafia "leadership." I'm not sure that the DeCavalcante family is even an independent entity anymore, or whether it's been absorbed by the Gambinos and others with which it had been allied in the past.

Thank you for answering my question, Turnbull.

Do you know if Frank Gauracci is incarcerated or not?

As of now, he appears to be at liberty, which is why he's acting boss. But boss of what...?

Regarding the Decalvacante's Family, I think Carmine Lupertazzi head the nail on the head when he refered to the Sopranos as a "glorified crew."

"Generosity. That was my first mistake."

MADE MEN by Greg B. Smith was fair, at best. It's based on the happenings of the NJ underworld in the 1990s.

If nothing else, it's a good SOPRANOS reference.

Not worth buying, IMO. But if you can borrow it from the library, you could decide soon enough if it's worth staying with.

The current boss of the DeCavalcante Family is Frank Gauracci after Joesph Miranda (Current Consigliere) stepped down in 2006.

The Family currently has 70+ made members
