From 9-midnight. Of course, its the edited version, but thats still not a bad fix until next Sunday's episode.

And Carlito's Way on at 8 on a channel that slips my memory, at the moment.

Happy Memorial day!

You know, I'm watching a couple episodes now on A & E and I have to say, I thought it'd be more tame than it is. Thus far, no whackings, so I don't know yet how they will handle that. However, I thought they'd "redo" the language and even some of the sex scenes "more" than they did. \:o

Still cleaned up, but not as much, nor as bad as I thought it would be, at least by the two episodes I've seen.

How much thinner Tony and Janice look (and younger) \:o

I'm enjoying watching these episodes. I have only seen most of them once and it's a great referesher course. \:\)

In case someone hasn't ever seen this show:

Warning, Spoiler:
Janice just kills Richie and Chris & Furio are chopping him up. Chris says, "it'll be a long while before I eat anything at Satriale's"

Oh, and quite a catchy tune they play during the commercials advertising the show, "Mama we all go to hell". Grows on you no? \:\) It never was in any of the episodes was it?

No, it never was. A very creative idea. They are really pumping the Sopranos with commercial after commercial. Also, they show Michael Imperioli's (Chrissy) DVD player commercial quite often. Go figure...

Yea, I've seen Imperioli's commercial. I guess now that he's out of a job, he needs the work.

Sopranoleone, aren't you surprised they are letting some of the language in on regular tv (even though it's cable). The "F" word is out, but I'm still surprised.

TIS

Well, they just blew it! Tony calls is mother, "my freakin' gosh darn idiot of a mother"

This is the first time I've seen "The Sopranos" on A&E.... I can't believe how much has been censored out.

On the bright side, though, they have awesome commercials for the show. I just saw the one with everyone singing and it ends with the reminder that "it ain't over til the fat lady sings" (and they show Ginny Sack).

And now they're having the scenes where they make fun of Ginny Sack.

"Ginny sack needs her own zip code".

"You wrap your hands around Ginny, your hands disappear".

"New Jersey's a small state. Ginny moves in it'll tip over".

SC,

Think of this. There are people who never had HBO and never saw the show at all (I know for us Soprano addicts, it's hard to believe :)). This is playing to a new audience, who won't even know what's been altered and/or cut out.

I have a friend at work, who is seeing it for the first time on A & E. She has heard myself and another gal talk about it and wants to see what all the fuss is about. She really likes it, and doesn't care that it's edited and/or changed for tv.
So, it could become popular all over again for first time viewers. Who knows?

I'm in that group. I've only seen the A&E versions. I'm not one who's into all that violence and gore. But maybe seeing the sex scenes might be nice.

That's also the only way I've seen the Scarface movie. I couldn't see it otherwise. Unless I watched it with a guy and could cover my hear on his shoulder when it got to the graphic scenes. \:\)

That scene with Tony and Melfi in her office when she almost breaks down about her attack is the one time I wanted to see the bad Tony come out. When he asks her if she wants to say something I wanted her to tell him all about it. You know Tony would have ripped that boy to pieces with his bare hands.

I know what you mean Beth. For a while I thought he would some how find out. However, this late in the game, with only two more episodes to go, I'm guessing that'll be a non-issue. \:\/

I agree though. Had Tony found out, he'd definitely do something.

TIS, I am not that surprised at the language used. Most of it is either cut out or nothing that you wouldn't hear on any other show. Howver, I am surprised that they didn't edit more other the "lesser" curses out, considering it is on all day on Memorial Day, and Im sure more than a few kiddies have seen a scene or two.
