I know Marlon Brando kinda reprised his role as Vito in the 1990 movie "The Freshman" with Matthew Broderick, but that's not really what I mean.

James Caan, Al Pacino, Giavani Russo (Carlo Rizzi), Diane Keaton, Talia Shire, and Robert Duvall are still alive. Have they ever thought to revise their roles in their old age and do scene-by-scene reinactments? I think that would be a hoot.

I seem to remember a post here, years ago, that said that there was some kind of re-enactment during the promotions surrounding the release of either the 25th anniversary VHS set, or the DVD set. Perhaps JG, SC or DC remember.
Richard Castellano played a near-identical Clemenza-type role in the T movie, "Honor Thy Father."

It would be very neat to have the actors go back and replay their roles today. I think Pacino especially would be interesting. It seems the years have changed him quite a bit, especially the throat cancer.

Are you thinking of Duvall and Caan reprising their roles for the Godfather video game?

Don Cardi cool

Five - ten years from now, they're gonna wish there was American Cosa Nostra. Five - ten years from now, they're gonna miss John Gotti.

Might be a bit tough for Vito Corleone, Fredo Corleone, Al Neri, Clemenza, Tessio, Cuneo, and others.

No, I was thinking of something they might have done at the event launching the dvd set. But I'm probably wrong...

You have enough major actors still alive to accomplish this. No need to bother the dead about this project.

It would be just enough to have Sonny, Michael, Tom, Carlo, and Connie again. SNL should bring them back.
