Rotten Tomatoes, the popular movie review website (my primary source for reviews, along with the New York Times) recently posted its top 79 "Best-Reviewed Best Pictures of All Time". Guess who made the list?

Along with GF1 making #1 on the list, other movies which made the list were On the Waterfront (#2), All About Eve, and GFII (#9). Click here for the list and such.

Ditto. One of my students gave me a black cherry vanilla coke. I'm sipping it now. I was thinking of freeezing it and making popsicles.

I don't want to go off topic, but does anybody remember the early days of diet soda ?
They didn't even sell it in stores. My grandfather was diabetic and I remember the soda man coming to the house with those really thick glass bottles. It was horrible !
When Tab and Fresca came out, they were actually good by comparison.
The good thing is that, having grown up on diet soda, today I find regular soda much too sweet.
Dr. Atkins would be pleased.

As a treat, my mom used to put Coca-Cola in my bottle when I was a babe. My teeth are white and pearly and I'm not over weight, but I sure am a Coke addict.

BACK ON TOPIC...I've seen GFII rank as high as 3 on all time movie lists. Of course, if those critics spent a little time on the BB and discovered some of the flaws such as "Michael Corleone says hello" or How the hell did Fredo kill the assassins , they might not be as inclined to rank it as high.

Shhhhhhh, I won't tell anyone if you guys won't.

I've been disappointed that "Rhinestone" with Dolly Parton and Stallone hasn't made it onto anyone's best films list. The script, direction, not to mention the acting, were all stupendous. And the singing, especially by Stallone. Madonne! That alone should have garnered notariety.

Stallone reportedly turned down both ROMANCING THE STONE and BEVERLY HILLS COP to make RHINESTONE.

Can you imagine him in either of those roles ?

Brillo pads! That has to be one of the most harilarious remarks ever on this Board. So was my post about Rhinestone.

Hey yo, Oliva, whatsa matta w/ you? I think your brain is going soft from all that comedy you're playing w/ those young college GIRLS. Never compare that bi*ch Dolly Parton's voice to Sly's. I mean, that broad does have a nice pair of 's , don't get me wrong, no disrespect. But Sly's voice is uhhhhh.......it's beauty full, ya know, it's......it's beautiful. I mean....it's just.....it's beauty full.

What does soda have to do with the topic at hand?
