Any fans here? Lately I've been listening to them more then usual. One of the best bands around today. I can't wait for their new album to come out, with Johnny Marr of The Smiths joining the band on the album and tour.

I am embarrased to say that...I've never heard of Modest Mouse.

However, you have a responsible great taste in music, so I might check them out. I mean, its not like you're recommending EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH or some obvious blue cheese stinker special like a certain someone we know.

What type of music is Modest Mouse?

Why the insult?

Somebody recommended "Teeth Like God's Shoeshine" to me a few weeks ago, and I loved it. But it remains the only song I've heard from them. I really want to hear more, but I've been too lazy and wrapped up in other music to download anything else.

Modest Mouse is Indie Rock with heavy alternative inspirations.

I consider them better then some bands like Sigur Ros.

My favorite songs are The Cold Part, Alone Down There, Lives, Cowboy Dan, Teeth Like God's Shoeshine, and Jesus Christ Was An Only Child.

I remember asking you if you listened to them back in summer, Vercetti. I believe you answered no, and then one of us probably cracked a highly inappropriate joke, we laughed, and moved on.

I'm glad to see you've finally stumbled upon them and enjoyed them. I still need to check out most of their stuff that came before The Moon and Antartica. How'd you rank their albums?

Now that's just blasphemy.

"Somebody told me when the bomb hits, everybody in a two mile radius will be instantly sublimated, but if you lay face down on the ground for some time, avoiding the residual ripples of heat, you might survive, permanently fucked up and twisted like you're always underwater refracted. But if you do go gas, there's nothing you can do if the air that was once you is mingled and mashed with the kicked up molecules of the enemy's former body. Big-kid-tested, motherf--ker approved."

I didn't say no, I did but wasn't that into them. I like Sigur Ros but I find them a tad overrated.

It's hard for me to rank their albums. Their best is between The Lonesome Crowded West and The Moon & Antarctica.
