Hey everybody, I'm new to the forum and apologize if these ideas have been posted before. I have some ideas for casting ideas for a possible fourth Godfather film. (Again I apologize if this has been posted before.) Flashbacks: Vito Corleone: Robert De Niro, with make-up and dyed hair he could pass off for 30-40 years old Vito. Michael:As much as i hate to say it i don't think he would been seen to much in flashback seens, but thats just my opinion. Maybe Michael Imperioli? Of course he would be played by Pacino in the Vincent storyline Sonny:Scott Caan. Has to be, looks alot like his dad at that age. Fredo:Edward Norton Clemenza:Paul Sorvino or James Gandolfi Tessio:Ray Liotta? Tom Hagen:? Carmella Corleone:Lorraine Bracco Connie:? Feel free to comment or add your own ideas to try and help me to write a sequel!

I think you're stacking your cast with too many Sopranos actors.
(Although I have, in the past, suggested Michael Imperioli as a 'younger' Michael in a hypothetical GF IV.)
I could see Christian Slater in the Tom Hagen role.
DeNiro, I think, is too old to pass for Vito in his 30s/40s any more.
Marisa Tomei could be good as Connie, but she is in her 40s now herself, so she couldn't play a young Connie in her teens/early 20s as would be needed now.
I think maybe Liotta or maybe even Sean Penn would be a better pick at this point for a 30s/40s Vito.

Jamie-Lynn DiScala/Sigler has the right look for Connie, but again you don't want to stack the cast too deep with Sopranos refugees, or else before you know it, you have Joe Gannascoli (Vito) as Clemenza, Vincent Pastore (Big Pussy) as Luca Brasi, Aida Turturro as Carmella, etc etc.
Jennifer Love Hewitt might be another possible Connie.
Any casting exercise, you have to pick a few of your central cast members (Michael, Vito, etc.) and cast in the right age ranges for the peripheral characters. Of course with makeup, etc you can overcome SOME age differences, but you want to have the general age ranges be in the ballpark so the audience isn't going "yah right" when a character is on screen.

I believe that with a little bit of make-up and hair dye Robert De Niro passes for a middle aged Vito. Scott Caan doesn't really have the right build IMO (at least that was the case last time I saw him) I like the idea of Jennifer Love Hewitt as Connie.
