If you're a DVD nut like me, you are familiar with what WB did with their Matrix DVD. Although the original was already packed, they released another disc with even more special features to add to what was on the original disc and they called it "The Matrix Reloaded".

If Paramount was to do the same with the GF Trilogy, what additional features would you like to see on the DVD?

I would like to see commentaries by the actors (Brando, Pacino, DeNiro, Duvall, Keaton, Caan, Shire, et al), in addition to the one by FFC. I also really enjoyed the Academy Award footage they had on the original extras disc, and I would like to see more of that, especially for Brando's Best Actor award that he sent that "Indian" girl to accept for him.

I'd also like a newer featurette about the trilogy, since the one that they included was an old one that was apparently filmed right as part III was coming out.

I know that there are many more deleted scenes, so I'd like those put in, and I would like an interactive "family tree" of the Corleone crime family similar to the one they had during the senate hearings in part II.

The other deleted scenes (ie. Michael shooting Fabrizzio) would be a great addition.

I'd also like a segment on the filming locations.

Those are great ideas. I'd like to see them in a new maybe 40th anniversary release.

If they were to release a 40th anniversary edition, or a 35th anniversary edition for that matter, I would like to see better packaging. Not that the packaging matters more than the movies, but I think that a landmark trilogy like the Godfather Trilogy deserves something special. Hell, they gave crap like Pearl Harbor a really neat looking package, why not Godfather? I'd like a nice faux-leather case that holds all 5 discs, kinda like the Sopranos DVD does. A nice booklet would be cool, and maybe better art on the DVDs themselves.

Actually, I rather liked the art on the DVD Trilogy .

I would like the Crime Family Tree on the DVD. I was dissapointed when it only had the blood family tree.

I would pay hundreds to have DVDs of all of the outtakes--not just the deleted scenes that were included in the extra disc in the current set. There must be thousands of feet of film on the proverbial cutting room floor. Imagine the gems included there that have never, ever seen the light of day!

Doubt that will happen. It sounds like the man will pass on very very soon now.

If they did a disk, I would want a Novel for TV edition with all of the deleted scenes restored to the movie itself.
