I'm not sure if anyone knew this or not... Richard Bright, who played the hitman Al Neri, died back in February of this year. I just noticed when I went to IMDB! I guess all hitmen have an end...

Rocky: I said button yer lip.
Mugsy: Oh, okay, boss.

This was posted on the Boards when it first occurred. It was in the local newspapers here (in NYC, where I live), and was featured on the local television news shows. I believe it was also covered nationally, as well.

Sadly, bad news does seem to travel fast.

Here is a link to the earlier thread:

Richard Bright Deceased

Signor V.

"For me, there's only my wife..."

"Sure I cook with wine - sometimes I even add it to the food!"

"When life itself seems lunatic, who knows where madness lies?"

"It was a grass harp... And we listened."

"Do any human beings ever realize life while they live it? Every, every minute?"

"No. Saints and poets, maybe... they do some."

And what a horrible way to die!

"Growing up my dad was like 'You have a great last name, Galifianakis. Galifianakis...begins with a gal...and ends with a kiss...' I'm like that's great dad, can we get it changed to 'Galifianafuck' please?" -- Zach Galifianakis

Its almost ironic that Bright died only a few blocks away from where he was seen in "Panic in Needle Park" when he was crossing the street to meet his brother (Al Pacino).
