there's only one additional scene of GF III.

there off course could be no others, maybe Coppola used all of his material. But I find that hard to believe.

is anything known about wether there were actually no other additional GF3 scenes or is this just basically it?

Hi,
The only other footage that I have seen is when USA aired the movie. At the beginning before Michael's letter. He is talking about the family and flashbacks are shown of Sonny and Fredo.

Is Vincent's 'spat' with Altobello in the trailer something left out???

Come on, the movie's 2 and a half hours long - and there aren't any deleted scenes?

I haven't seen any other additional scenes from Part III. I do like the one that was included in the DVD collection. I think it should have been in the movie. It might have made Part III 1% better.

the one scene on the dvd box wasn't a deleted one...it was just an alternate opening to the movie, a scene with the archbishop and Michael, that we now see later on in the picture.

I think it's pretty obvious now that I haven't seen Part III in a LOOOOOOONG time. I like that scene better at the beginning of the movie though. (Pardon my ignorance.)

Nope, luckily for us, Coppola left in every single disgusting little bit. God bless him.

I bet there are a few extra scenes we havent seen. If you watch the trailor for Godfather Part III on the bonus DVD, you see that some of the scenes it shows are either not in the movie, or slightly different. for instance:

Vincent spits in Altobello's hand before the opera and says "I'm a Corleone"

During the Commission meeting, Michael tells the attendees that "If every drug pusher in this room were to drop dead, I'd be the only one standing." I don't think that was in the movie.

And i dont know if this counts as an extra scene, but after the Atlantic City massacre, when Michael, Connie, Neri, and Vincent were all sitting around the table, the scene in the trailor looks a smidge different from the one in the movie. call me crazy blush

Tell me if y'all catch anymore

Also in the trailer:

Connie says, "You can save the Corleone family, I will help you!"

Vincent and Michael (in Sicily?) "I am your son, command me at your will." "Give up my daughter."

Michael says "Will you shut up?!" to Vincent twice, versus once in the movie.

Don Altobello and Michael in the beginning. "The Corleone family partners with the Pope? They may cry blashemy." "This is business."

When Michael makes his confession in the opening, he doesn't cry when he says, "I killed my mother's son. I killed my father's son."

If I find any more, I'll post them.

Mistake: It was Archbishop Gilday and Michael in the beginning, not Altobello.

Sorry for the confusion.
