What are everybody's predictions for the Superbowl and the National Championship game this great football season?

Call me a homer but I say the Bengals vs Falcons in Super Bowl. HOnestly I do think the Bengals can go all the way. Last year they lost to the eventual champs without Palmer and I think they could have beaten them with Palmer. Plus the defense is better and deeper than last year. The Falcons are flying low on the radar and I think they made their defense better and can sneak through the NFC.

Call me a homer again or a proud Alum but I say Ohio State will be playing for the National Championship and I think their opponent will be USC, who is going to send the Fighting Irish out of Cali with a big fat L.

just to back up my prediction. check this out. This guy uses mathmatical formulas and a ton of stats (like run blocking success percentage for O-lineman) to rank everything in the NFL. He writes for ESPN Insider all the time. Go to the link and click the 37 page Scientific Football Preview link, scroll down

To quote Mr. T from Rocky III: "Predictions...pain."

Sorry I couldn't resist.

In the NFL, your guess is as good as mine. I don't think Cincy has all the horses on both sides of the ball to go all the way.

I think Carolina will defeat Seattle to advance to the Super Bowl. No one in the AFC should be allowed to go because they're all flawed. I guess Indy could beat Miami in the AFC Championship. Then Carolina would defeat Indy in the Super Bowl.

I love OSU, but I don't think they're winning the nat'l championship. I'm always pessimistic about a team that's so hyped in preseason. I say no way with USC with all of their offensive losses to the NFL. Notre Dame is also vastly overrated IMO. Who the hell knows, it's up for grabs. I'll say Florida.

the only thing with USC losing offensive players is that the Pac-10 is defensivly anemic. I could see USC going undefeated and squeaking into the Nat'l Championship game.

I don't follow college as closely as the pros. You may be right. What year (freshman, etc) are the new QB and RB?

the QB is not a freshman but as with all USC recruits he was a highly successful high school player. I don't really know about the RB but under Pete Carroll they tend to use 2 or 3 RB.

I don't know his name, but I guess Ohio State has a true freshman starting at RB who is supposed to be awesome. I'm sure he'll see a lot of playing time tomorrow to warm up for the Eexas game next week. But he's supposed to be much better and more highly touted than Clarett was coming in as a freshman (that's funny now).

Yeah Wells is going to be a stud. He will remind you of Eddie George. But he will play sparingly because the starter is a Junoir Antonio Pittman who rushed for 1300 yards last year.

Saw the first half of OSU's win on Sat. They looked pretty good on offense - when was the last time that one could say that heading into a season? I hope the Troy Smith of the 2nd half of last year and Game 1 this year shows up vs. Texas. If he is on, I like OSU's chances this coming weekend. If Smith hadn't gotten himself suspended and was the regular starter last season vs. Texas, it would have been OSU playing USC.

I'm glad that the starting Texas CB will be suspended. He was slated to cover Ginn.

There's no proven commodity in the NFC, but Carolina will defeat the Giants to advance and lose the Super Bowl to Jacksonville, who will defeat the Colts for the AFC title.

Is Ohio State still in the NCAA? I thought all their players receive salaries and carsfrom that generous pool of boosters.

The winner of the ND/USC game will be the national champion beating Florida State.
