You cannot see the oxygen but you can breath it, you cannot see love but you can feel it. Oxygen doesn`t have anything to do with religion... religion is just a stuff from people who are believers and that`s it. It doesn`t mean God, Jesuschrist or whatever existed. But Maradona DOES!

Maradona was champion in 1986 and got the second title in 1990, that is not little thing. Pelé was better? I am sorry to say this but...you know nothing about football, soccer or whatever you want to call this game... :p

As far as I know Jason Lee still plays. I almost didn't recognise him when he came to Scunny when he played for Boston. Don't know where he is now though, I think he's been released.

Pele was better because as an out and out striker he could do anything, he once took the ball past a goalkeeper without even touching it.

He is thiner now! So what if he is fater or thiner? However, fater or thiner, he IS THE BEST. Remeber he skkiped 5 english players in his second goal. Pelé was unable to do it by himself! Pelé had 10 good players to help him. Maradona was the 11 players in ONE!!!!

Here is GOD smiling for you, Scarface!

At least we talk about a real sport.
I'll give recognition that soccer is an international sport, but the fan reaction is in some cases maniacal. It's a sport! Not a reason for mayhem. Hundreds of English supporters were arrested in Germany. Relax. Enjoy the competition. It's not a reason for testosterone-letting.

Please define "real sport". To me "real sport" is one played or contested without objects (like balls) or judges (like gymnastics). Real sports are foot races, swimming races, boxing matches (knockouts) or wrestling matches. The more boundaries and judges you have, the less it is a sport and the more it is a contest or exhibition.

Pelé scored 1281 goals in 1375 games.
Maradona 246 goals in 530 games.
Scoring goals doesn´t mean you are the best player. I told you, Pelé had good players to help him, so he could score many goals because he had the work done thanks to them. Maradona had to play ALONE. And Maradona scored goals in a way Pelé didn´t and skipped many players much better than Pelé. Pelé needed help and he was helped by his mates. Maradona didn´t need it, if he did or didn´t it doesn´t matter, Maradona did everything by himself. He did everything ALONE in the soccer field.

In the Holland-Portugal match, there wasn´t "fair play". 4 players were sent off. It looked like a Karate tournament instead of Scoccer.

Don Andrew - that kind of comment is inexcusable here. No matter what the provocation you simply can't say that on the boards.

Don Pappo - you may want to tone down your brow-beating here. I've never heard of this soccer player until I read your posts, and he sure as hell isn't MY god. You made your point about how much you love this guy but stop beating a dead horse already.

It was the fault of the referee. He drew too many cards. They players didn't really play in a karate manner, they just played nasty (winning time, kicking balls away when the others had a free kick, ...)
