I thought his returning depended on a good free agency period. That hasn't happened.
Mixed feelings on this one. I love Favre and don't really want to see him retire, yet I don't want to see another dismal performance like last year. Then there's the Rodgers situation - he's going to have to get some proper experience sometime (unless rumours of drafting a QB in the first are valid). If you're the Pack and he's throwing those 4 or 5 pick games again do bench Brett Favre? Good luck McCarthy (cynical), and good luck Favre (for real).

He had a great career, but he should have retired. Favre has clearly lost something on the field. He hasn't been good since that awful throw against Philly in the playoffs a few years ago (where he inexplicably just heaved one up for grabs with no GB receiver nearby). That aside, the Packers suck and he'll be playing on, at best, a 6-10 team.
