we definitely need a thread for the knicks...idk how many fans there are but im sure a lot have an opinion on them. im a true fan believe it or not...the reason i think they SUCK this year is beacause not of lack of talent...but because of lack of experience. larry brown is a genious and i think hes buildin the knicks for the future...within the next couple of years the knicks are gonna b a semi-force in the nba (research the early 90's knicks for definition of semi-force =-D)....step one...get rid of stephon marbury...but do it the right way! get someone good for him....i believe that if the cavs dont do anything this year lebron will b on the market...try goin after him! trade stephon, a lot of picks, and some money. that would give them one of the youngest solid rosters. step 2.....get rid of isiah. he's had his good transactions but i dont think he really knows what he's doing. ive managed a team better on nba live. step 3 depends on 1 and 2....fan base approval...once 1 and 2 work out good the fans need to b excited. i obviously dont know the numbers but im sure the knicks have some of the lowest fan approval in the league (research how many times they were booed this year for definition =-D)...take care of the knicks and these young rookies can turn into a great team...hmmmm...no stars...quality playing....excited stadium....kinda reminds of a team from detroit! hey! its a possibility!

Marbury is untradeable because of his contract, so the Knicks are stuck with him.
Larry Brown may be a genius, but he hasn't shown it this year - he's done a horrible job, IMO.
You can't turn a player into something that he's not, like brown has tried to do with Marbury, plus he never defined anyone's role on the team all season. Look how he uses a different starting lineup and rotation almost every day.
As soon as the Knicks saw that they were going nowhere this season, he should've played Frye, Robinson, and lee 30 minutes a game to see if they can possibly develop into something good.
Not playing Frye 35-40 minutes a game makes absolutely no sense at all.
But instead, the Knicks seem more concerned with trying to win a few games so they don't end up with the league's worst record, which would increase Chicago's chances of getting the #1 pick in the lottery, hence the terrible moves in acquiring Jalen Rose and Steve Francis.
I'm not sure about Isiah. He seems to have made some horrible deals, but he may be acting on orders from the higher-ups in an effort to win a few more games.
I predict that since they're stuck with Marbury and he and Larry Brown can't co-exist, Brown will be the one to go.
He'll resign, citing "health reasons" and get some under the table money for doing so), or the Knicks will buy out his contract.
That'll be cheaper than buying out Marbury, and a coach's salary doesn't count against the cap.
Then the Knicks will bring in a coach who plays more of Marbury's style offense.

i do agree with ya there...its hard to argue any of ur points....but i dont think they will b standing by marbury...dont get me wrong..im almost positive that marbury wants to win...but he's going about it the wrong way...there are teams in the league that can afford him...hmm i wonder if he gets paid as much as lebron...i dont think so...nice trade! lol but the knicks rookies are starting to come out a little bit...the only thing that could really b said is its either the coach or the "superstar"...and i really doubt its larry brown...hes been a great rebuilding coach throughout the years and doubt he's changed his style this one year....i think stephon is pullin a terrell owens and single handedly destroying his team...they said on quite frankly that nobody on the team likes him

Well The Knicks played like The Knicks against my Raptors yesterday and that's why we won. Also, Prime Minister Chris Bosh and Deputy Prime Minister Mike James both had 30+ games. Charlie V. had 15 points, 1 block shot, 1 steal, 1 assist and 8 rebounds. We've got Boston, Minne and The Bucks coming up and they are all winable games. Hopefully we can turn things around and make some sort of magical run at the playoffs unless we have already been mathematically eliminated.

I don't know WTF we were thinking trading Latrell Sprewell and Patrick Ewing, seriously, they must have been hopped up on some serious drugs because that was the stupidist ideas I have ever seen. Oh yea, and damn Jeff Van Gundy for "quitting" then returning to the NBA... that screwed up the whole situation ever more, that's when it all started and from there it's been going downhill.
