I'd do another Yahoo league I guess, but I don't see why DS couldn't squeeze you into the current one. I think it has to do with bye weeks and matchup configurations, I think we'd need to have two people added to preserve the functionality.

If I may speak for DB.....

One of the problems you will recall with last year, JJ, was the unbalanced schedule, and the luck factor involving who people had to play a second time. Some people got to play the weaker teams and others had to play the stronger teams.

We have 14 teams now. If we have 15 teams and a balanced schedule, then everyone would play everyone once and everyone would have a bye week.

That would take us through 15 weeks of the real NFL schedule, and force the playoffs to weeks 15 & 16, and our Super Bowl to week 17, which doesn't work.

With a 16 team league and a balanced schedule, everyone plays everyone else once, and agian we use up 15 weeks of the real NFL schedule.

There are some other possibilities being considered, such as two "divisions', maybe one head-to-head and one cumulative points, with the playoff winners in each division meeting at the end.

All of that said, Zo, I'll put a "sticky" on this thread and maybe you can find some new people interested in a second league.

Meanwhile, if you are willing to start the second league and be the commissioner, why don't you? You can get a draft date and everything, and people can start to register.

I'd probably join, and I'm sure there would be a few others.

Absolutely. I figured that was one of the reasons we limited the number of participants...however, much like you, I'd prefer the points-based scoring to the luck-of-the-draw head-to-head style. I know the current league is counting both towards a winner, but I wouldn't mind two GBB leagues, one that is head-to-head and one that is strictly points-based. I'd play both.

I'd play both too, except that if we did it that way, wouldn't it be great to have the two winners square-off in our own Super Bowl (We'd have to "self-score" it, though) at the end?

And if you're in both leagues, that could present problems, like what happens if it's you against yourself in the finals?

Listen to this guy. Why didn't you just write what you were really thinking and say, "What happens when it's me against myself in the finals?"

There is no theory of evolution. Just a list of creatures Chuck Norris has allowed to live.

We could do what all of our wannabe over-sexed GBB 16-24 age demographic members do. Play with themselves. :p

NFL.com Fantasy Football

I'm hearing rave reviews about how great the NFL.com free fantasy game is...maybe we should set up an NFL league rather than another Yahoo league?

Don Cardi cool

Five - ten years from now, they're gonna wish there was American Cosa Nostra. Five - ten years from now, they're gonna miss John Gotti.
