The outcome to the Cena/Johnny Ace match couldn't have been any more predictable. It was so predictable, in fact, that I thought MAYBE the WWE creative team would have tried to avoid it. Top that off with Johnny Ace's promo fuck-up last night, and I've been shaking my head ever since.

Why is WWE trying to turn Punk heel?

And yes, this Cena/Laurinitis doesn't hardly interest me at all. The only thing I can say is that it got a reaction out of Cena. But think about this, Cena beats Lesnar but can't be Laurinitis? YEAH, that makes sense!

Not sure, but I certainly enjoy his character a lot more as a heel. CM Punk is great when he is given free-reign to be a "tweener" (not quite a face, not quite a heel), but sometimes WWE Creative inserts themselves and you can tell when he is forced to do something that is against the character he is trying to portray. Either way, Punk is the man!

Been watching on youtube "the attitude era" late 1990s, so much better than now, saw a recent WWE episode, can't believe how much it's gone down hill since then!

Agreed. Too watered down today. Like it was back in the 1980s. Golden age of wrestling IMO, the Attitude Era for WWE and the nWo Era for WCW (plus the whole Monday Night Wars).

Except you didn't mind that the WWF was watered down in the 1980's. Nowadays you mind because of how good it was from '98 to '01 as opposed to now.

I have plenty of issues with the WWE product, and I have made no secret of that fact. But their product FAR EXCEEDS ANYTHING that TNA has put out in the last few years. The coup de grĂ¢ce? Hogan hiring on his daughter Brooke as an executive. Hogan has never looked out for anybody but himself, and this is just another example of Hogan flexing his muscle in the industry. Hulk Hogan is a disgrace to the wrestling industry.

X, you've been like a son to me over the years. I've watched you grow up here on the boards, watched you move out on your own two feet and am proud to know you. With that in mind, I feel obligated to tell you this: wrestling is fake. shhh

That is a direct quote from former WCW World Heavyweight Champion...David Arquette.

A good example was the famed Bruno Sammartino/Larry Zbyszko feud in 1980, one of the great money-making programs in Pro Wrestling from that era. This back in the WWWF days. (Before Vince McMahon took over the company from his dad and removed one "W.")

Bruno was the Italian-American Hulk Hogan/Steve Austin in being uber-popular and beloved up in the Northeast, sold out MSG countless times. (He was WWWF Champion for seven years.)His "protege" Zbyszko (Bruno in real life did train him) betrayed his former mentor with a good ole wooden chair to the skull, drawing blood. (That's Vince calling the match.)

Bruno's passionate fanbase were outraged by "Judas" Zbyszko. His car was repeatedly damaged and taxis in which he was travelling were overturned by fans. Zbyszko on seperate occasions after matches was attacked by fans, one by iron pole and another he got stabbed in the ass. Received numerous death threats, including (alleged by Zbyszko) from Mafia guys and he and Bruno had to go privately meet with them and let them in on the "secret" about pro wrestling.

And John Cena thinks he has it rough with the fans.

Nobody in either demographic care about my "movie ratings."

Or anybody else for that matter.

(Except my ego of course.)

ROH has posted online from '04 the first ever ROH match between future WWE main eventers CM Punk and Bryan Danielson (before he became Daniel Bryan.) Look at how young they are, and how awesome.

Randy Orton has been suspended 60 days for failing the WWE Wellness Policy for a 2nd time, and online reports are claiming the company is actually thinking of releasing him from his lucrative contract (locked to '19) to both save money and to avoid a potential PR embarrasment. (If Orton fails a 3rd drug test, he's automatically fired.)

http://www.twnpnews.com/2012/06/more-on-...ackdown-events/

(Hey remember when Jeff Hardy had two strikes against him and won the WWE Title? (or was it WHC, I can't remember?))

There's a lot of "inside talk" speculating that this may be the last strike for Orton. He has a lot of backstage heat right now, and management is sick of him.

On the flip-side, though, he makes them a lot of money. Not John Cena-type money, but a lot of money nonetheless. And given the history of his family in the wrestling business, I wouldn't be surprised if this violation gets swept under the rug like the other ones.

I agree with this. I've never really been a Randy Orton fan. He's just never done anything for me, one way or another. I've seen him mess up his finisher too much plus he's too injury prone. Wouldn't mind seeing him gone but at the same time, WWE needs main event talent on BOTH shows and it's just not there right now IMO.

if orton is fired then punk will go to smackdown. wwe really needs to push the likes of ziggler, rhodes, etc. if they dont then when ever cena does get hurt...wwe will be screwed.

Agreed. But I've been waiting MONTHS for WWE to push Ziggler and Rhodes. Remember when Ziggler was getting WWE title matches and main eventing Monday Night Raw? Yeah, that faded rather quickly!

Click to reveal..
Looks like Ziggler will be replacing Del Rio in the WHC Match at No Way Out (due to Del Rio being injured).
