Well the last two picks seem logical. Arizona, in my opinion, would have taken an RB if one of the top three were still there. Why not get one of the best corners?

After they lost Smoot, again, it's only logical for Washington to head in this direction.

I think we'll see a few linemen go now.

Ok well this has helped my prediction that I said Harrington will be this year's Drew Brees. He's got to with them recievers.

Dallas take Johnson.

Great pick. What a steal!

I woke up this morning with nothing to do and went to bed with only half of it done.

Aaron Rodgers to the Pack! I did not see this one coming, since everyone predicted that Rodgers go in the top 10 or 15. The Packers do need a lot of help on defense, but as Mel Kiper said, none of the remaining defensive players will have an immediate effect this year.

I'm glad that the Pack is looking towards the future of their franchise. Not that I want Favre to retire or anything, but it's good to be prepared. I wish this kid the best of success in the years to come. Now he's got a GREAT teacher to learn from. Go Packers!

Umm, the Redskins draft QB Campbell. Hey whatever Big Joe Gibbs...your team will still be a mess this year. Sad since while I dig and respect you as a Hall of Fame Head Coach, your owner is a complete asshole!

I'd say this was the shocker of the draft so far, with the exception of the TE Matt Davis going at #21. But how Rodgers slipped so far is amazing. Once he fell past the Top 5, none of the teams had immediate QB needs.

This is 3 years running Detroit has taken a WR in the first. If they only had a QB to throw to their talented WR corp. Harrington is Tim Couch all over again - in other words a bust.

I have a dumb question; but, do they keep going thru all 7 rounds today??

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol

There's no way GB planned to get a QB early in the draft, especially first round but I guess when Rogers slipped that far they couldn't resist.

So who had the best first day? I'm saying Arizona. I think they would have gone for an RB in the first but the top three were gone so they went for, arguably, the best DB left. Getting JJ Arrington in the second was a steal, so was Darryl Blackstock in the third.

I don't know what the Jets are thinking with their first pick (in the second round) taking a kicker. If it's the kicker I'm thinking of he's pretty good though and kicks 50+ yarders. Luckily Justin Miller was still there later in the round for them.

Shocks: Maurice Clarett in the third (too early), Dan Cody later second (didn't think he'd fall that far and Luis Castillo.

I would say another team that did really well was Dallas. Landing 2 first round defensive players will help them tremendously. I have to think that unless they really turn it around, this is the Tuna's last season in Big D.

Denver is stupid for taking Clarrett in the 3rd - he could have been had in the 6th or 7th. But then again, I don't know what they're doing lately. Any team that took 3 Browns defensive starters in free agency can't be that bright seeing as how the Browns ranked near the bottom in defense, esp against the run.

But Clarett is probably gonna rush for 1,000 yards behind that Bronco line. I have even rushed for 1,000 yards behind that line!

Hey, how's it going?

Clarett is just someone I wouldn't want on my team full stop. His off the field attitude justifies it (never mind his slow workout times, 2 years out of football, short college experience). He ratted out Ohio State, I think for some exam cheating scandel(?) and he's gone to a team who have cheated the salary cap situation more than once.

Goombah, couldn't agree more about Parcels. They are going to have another soap opera season at the QB position.

The 2nd day has already kicked off and I like Chicago's pick of Kyle Orton, I actually thought he'd be taken on the first day.

I don't see that happening. He's not going to unseat Tatum Bell as the starter. The guy couldn't make it through one season at OSU healthy, what makes anyone think he's going to survive hits from guys that are 100 lbs heavier in the NFL? Plus, Shanahan's a take-no-shit kind of guy, which puzzles me all the more why he took Clarrett.

I was looking at a few of the undrafted players and wondered why was Jason White on the list, a former Heisman Trophy winner and wasn't he up for it the following year? I know Heisman winners aren't guaranteed to be top class NFL players but it usually gets you drafter. Is it because he's a little older or has he suffered from injuries?

Yes and yes. Plus Oklahoma is not a system that translates into good NFL quarterbacks.

Hey Turi, my brother played against the Steeler's 5th round pick, Goo Wallace, while they were in high school. I was only in middle school at the time, but my brother is the same age as Wallace. My brother was the tailback, so needless to say, he definitely got lit up by Wallace.

Goo Wallace - scroll down to his high school info. My school is in the PAC also.
