no, I think he's a Chelsea fan, but he's British, that's enough!

I think his hometown is Scunthorpe. (sp). Correct me if I'm wrong here, Turi.

Thanks Beth you're the closest, and spelt it right . I'm a hometown Scunthorpe fan (up the Iron) and Blackburn fan in the Premier league (I should be watching them now down pub lose to Arsenal, but my mates have let me down.)

I do like to see the British teams win in Europe though and the Champs league quarters look good. Juve and Liverpool have a emotional history between them, that should be a great game. I think Juve have the advantage though. And if Liverpool and Chelsea win, they meet in the semi's and that would guarantee a British team in the final.

Milan V Inter - what a fixture. That's a massive game for the quarters.

It's a general rule that all mates are wankers.

I'm going with AC, who I also hope win Serie A. God, I used to adore that team under Capello. But Football Italia is never on Channel 4 anymore (Sky bought it), so I lost touch.

And in any case, which punk would want to win this tournament?

I'd much rather win the UEFA Cup. :p Come on Newcastle! We drew Sporting, so it's probably best to get them out of thr way now (and thus avoid facing them in the final at their home ground).

[/b][/quote]Exactly, what sort of excuse is being too hungover to go to the pub? If anything, that's motivation to drink.

You should beat Sportin but they will score goals. Is it Douala who plays on the left for them, he's absolutely rapid, he may tear you up.

Anyway, who actualy wants to win that poor mans trophy? :p

I remember the days when United (Arsenal too)tried getting out of the FA Cup to concentrate on bigger competitions and in recent years have fielded numerous youngsters because they haven't taken it seriously. Now look at you, only chance of silverware. United are certainly taking it seriously now. :p

Thats true If not that United have had the worst season, its just that Chelsea have been to strong as United had a poor start and drew too many games, and have just been playing catch up all season.

Well you cheated against Blackburn earlier in the season to get yourself a draw with an 4th minute injury time handball goal when only 3 minutes were to be added on (I'm still bitter).

It's been an interesting season though. For the first time in a long while it hasn't been a two horse race and a team other than Man U or Arsenal are going to win the Premiership.

Even with Everton looking to get that 4th spot and ultimately a Champions League spot next season (as long of course Liverpool don't win it this year - which they wont). And the other two European spots are being challanged by 5 teams.

Man United...that's the one I was thinking of.

So I guess beings he plays for Spain he doesn't play against any team in England anymore? I don't know how that works.

Quarters first legs start tonight. I'll be watching Liverpool and Juventus tonight, should be a good game. Good luck Lavinia, I think your lads will win this one.

Pleased with Liverpool's match the other night. The first half was a belter. A bit on the nervous side thereafter, but they held on, and I hope they do it over there. (0-0 draw I'm going for!)

I want Liverpool to beat Chelsea 5-4 in the final.
