I think that FFC and MP wanted to show here was that to kill Paulie was just another "simple" job they had.

It's something like "Ok, we've finished with this, lets continue with the other stuff we have"

I agree completely. Killing a Family traitor, a driver,a Made Man was another day in the park, Clemenza cared more about eating his lunch and such in the extr footage. Only Clemenza could piss througha murder!
