What games did you guys watch? I watched the Jets/Bengals game and the Eagles/Giants game, the Eagles being my third team behind the 49ers and the Colts. I didn't really have a favorite in the Jets/Bengals game, though I was impressed by the Jets; and obviously I was rooting for the Eagles during their game.

Too bad the 49ers lost... Not that I predicted otherwise. Looked like they were coming back in the fourth quarter -- but, c'mon, who throws a fucking interception in the red zone? Better luck next week against the Saints. I'm keepin' the faith, LDV!

Who's checking out the Cheifs/Broncos game tonight?

We saw a good number of the games through the day. Of course we settled for the Eagles for the late game.

I think the biggest suprise - from those that I saw - was how bad the Bucs looked. Offensively they could do nothing and defensively they we not shutting Washington down. The score was not as close as the game IMO.

I didn't see the Baltimore game, but that was hugh upset. I was glad though since I hate the Ravens. But still for Cleveland to shut down J. Lewis like they did - last year in two games he ran for over 500 yards. Again I didn't see that one but a 'happy' end result.

The Giants looked pitiful - they are in for such a long year as they groom Manning.

Saw the Buccs - 'Skins for the early game. Saw a good running game and great dominance for the Washington in the first half. As the season goes on they'll get better. Buccs go 4 and 12, 'Skins go 9 and 7.

Second game I saw was the first and last quarters of the 49ers game (my old dear had the US open on so I missed most of the game). The first quarter was a joke. I thought I was watching the CFL for a moment, oh wait Garcia went to Cleveland didn't he? :p . The last quarter made up for it though, edge of the seat stuff and some awesome plays from Vick. San Fransisco must feel a little hard done by, the game was their to take it into OT. 49ers go 5 and 11, Falcons 6 and 12.

Cleveland was a parallel universe last night. The Ravens will not play like that against us next week. If only though.

Bengals sound like they were hard done by. Although I didn't see it, bad ref calls on a Pennington fumble and and unlucky Palmer interception where he was trying to win the game pretty much cost them it. There defense needs a lot of work, I thought that was Lewis's baby?

Is the Eagle offense that good, or the Giant defense that bad?? The Giant defense seemed clueless. Many runs and catches with no one around for five yards.

Probably a little bit of both - weighted a bit more towards the Giants defense being that bad. The third Owens TD - he was standing all alone in the end zone - how does that happen ?

Did anyone see the hit on Eli at the end of the game OUCH !! Welcome to the NFL. And earlier the hit that Trottier put on the punter Feagles - he knocked him silly.

Just a thought, but how many of you are as tired as I am of that Coors "Twins" song? Hasn't that been going on longer than it should have? I mean, every Monday last year & now it looks like this year they make a stupid song about Sunday & they play it with highlights on ESPN. I'm sick of hearing it!

As for this year, I don't know what it is (maybe the Eagles finally winning it with T.O., or Deion returning, or the last push for the Colts) but I'm actually getting into this football season somewhat. I've always felt that football (espeically the NFL) is overrated. I stand by that, however I have been enjoying the season somewhat so far. I did watch most of the game on Thursday. Besides the final score it was a good game & I enjoyed it. However, I was suprised by some games yesterday. I'm surprised that Detroit's already got a win this season & it came on the road. I'm surpised that Cleveland STOMPED Baltimore. I'm glad & surprised that Minnesota KILLED Dallas & that Denver beat K.C. Not a bad first week for me!

That was as vicious a hit as I have seen in a long time. That hit alone is reason enough that Coughlin shouldn't be shuttling between Warner & Eli so early. What if Eli had gotten hurt? Could you imagine the NY media ripping into (rightfully so) Coughlin for inserting Eli into a meaningless, unwinnable game? It would have been one thing if Eli went in to mop up against SD, Houston, or Arizona. But Philly has one of the top ranked defenses.

Oof it wasn't nice was it. Bit of a cheap shot to go after the punter, but hey, he knows the game, he's wearing pads. A little unethical.

The hit on Eli was awesome though. Welcome to the NFL kid.
