I don't even know if anyone here follows Argentinean soccer... (if not, I don't know why, it's the only one worth watching besides Italian) So anyway, what do you guys think.. Can River win the championship, or is it Boca's year? They're at Boca 31 and River 29 right now... I definitely think (hope) River can catch up.

Serie A, La Liga and the English Premier League are known to be the most competitive, exciting and high standard football leagues of the whole world.

What about the SPL?

Actually no....

Add the Bundesliga to that list, I'd say its just as exciting as the Premiership, and more skilful

Can't say I've ever seen an Argentinian league match, but I've heard River/Boca makes Celtic/Rangers look like a picnic

But Carlos Tevez looks a great player, even though i've only seen him once

Cicci, a porta.

Could you get me off the hook Tom? For old times sake?

Don't know too much about Argentine club soccer but I'll go with Boca Jrs. just for the hell of it.
top leagues imo in no particular order:
Serie A, La Liga, English Premier League, MLS, Bundesliga, 1Turkish League, Le Championat(ligue 1), the Eredivisie, Greek A Division and the Campeonato Brasileiro.

Honourable mentions go to: la Apertura, the Saudi, Iranian, Israeli/Palestinian leagues, and the K-League.

You guys are funny... I got more replies on my little comment in parentheses than my actual question. haha.
Yeah, Brits play pretty hard, too, I agree... But truth be told, I don't get much chance to watch their matches. I used to watch Manchester games, because those were abundantly broadcast here in Los Angeles because of Beckham's celeb status, but now that he plays for Real, they don't really put them on TV as much. Not that I like Manchester very much anyway, even when Beckham played for them... they get on my nerves.
In regards to all those other leagues, ANYTHING is better than watching the MLS... American soccer is like a hick singing Italian opera.. it just wasn't made for them. And now they sign all these guys from Guatemala and Colombia to their teams in a desperate attempt to pump it up a bit, but it kind of defeats the purpose of an American league. It's kind of stupid.
HAHAHA and the best part is, now they're going to have a match at the Rose Bowl this summer with Real Madrid and the L.A. Galaxy. Bets, anyone?

I actually like MLS but if the Galaxy are playing Real I think the score is gonna be 10 - 0 and not for L.A.!

I definately agree with MLS Letizia B. I don't hold it as the sole reason, but I think the MLS is a very important reason why the US has not adopted the worlds most loved sport. That 14 year old lad has been causing quite a stir though.

Albeit the US does breed quite good goalkeepers which I'd put down to all the other main hand eye co-ordination sports that are popular there.

Sermanni, if my parents hadn't moved to England when they were young I'd probably be sufferring the SPL back in Paisely. Only kidding, it isn't that bad.

I saw a few of the summer tourny fixtures in the US. Chelsea are playing Roma at Heinz Field. I'd love to see that.

I like Boca more than River, so I hope Boca wins. Riquelme might help them win though
