Holy Cow!

I just heard report on the radio that Roger Clemens is planning to pitch another season...for the HUSTON ASTROS!!

How sad it will be...to see both Clemens and Andy Pettit in other than Yankee uniforms.

Oh well, everything changes and nothing stays the same. Hope Joe Torre has got himself a decent young team in 2004.

Yeah, but at least Petitte left to be closer to family. Rog retired and now is coming back for unknown reasons...

But the USA today said that he hasn't officially decided to come back or not, and that the Astros haven't even made an offer.

Our local sports reporting says that Clemens has just signed a one year deal becuase his mother has some terminal illness and he wants to be eligible for induction into the Hall of Fame while she's still alive.

That would make sense if he signed a one year deal instead of, say, a three year deal. If he really wants to be inducted while she's still alive, as the rumor says, then he should stay retired and get the 5-year waiting period over and done with ASAP.

All I know is Houston are going have a bad ass pitching lineup and with Bagwell, Kent and Biggio maybe we can make it to the playoffs!

Oh well, maybe the traitor will finally push a batter too far and get the shit kicked out of him.

What did they say he signed for 5 million for one season? Sure beats sitting on your ass and watching what they put on TV these days. That is a ton of beer and money to spend on babes for him. Oh yea, donuts too.

Again, this further strengthens my predictions for this season's division winners.

If I was clemens I would do it as well, I mean 5 million one season and to further my chances of being inducted quicker into the hall of fame before my mother passes away. I'm sure he'll miss the game though and he enjoys it.

Now its pretty cold in NY, 2 degrees at my house this morning so maybe my brain is affected, but I could swear I heard on the radio that in Roger's contract it says he doesn't have to go to away games - or pitch outside of Houston - if he doesn't want to. If I was his team mate would I feel good about that?

It's getting more & more understandable why he took the deal. $5 million for a single season, doesn't have to leave his family (which I believe was his primary reason for not continuing with the Yankees) and gets to remain teammates with his ol' pal, Andy P.

I'd have probably done it too, if I were Clemens.

Let's just hope NY-ers are understanding and don't treat him as shabbily as BoSox fans did.

Yeah, right.....

you did hear right, in the contract he decides if he wishes to pitch in away games and doesn't have to travel with the team.

While some people might be upset....I am certainly going to root for Clemens and Pettitte this upcoming season.

Front page of MLB.com ask the question

"Houston so do we have a pennant?"

Astros are going all the way this year!!

I have followed Roger ever since I can remember. He is one of my favorite players. Me and my grandpa love to talk about him. Now hes an Astro. I from Cincinnatti as most know. The Astros are in our division and were always tough to play. Now they'll be even tougher
