Since I don't want to jinx Green Bay,
St. Louis vs. Tennessee

Speaking of the Super Bowl, this is the next-to-last year you'll be familiar with the Roman Numerals. Although the NFL will probably go with XXXIX for 39, the 40th Super Bowl will be known as Super Bowl XL.

I wonder if they're going to try to be clever with Super Bowl XL. Maybe they're going to call it the "extra large" super bowl or the "super-sized" super bowl.

Super Bowl 50 (Super Bowl L) will look stupid.

Can you imagine, in the year 3854, Super Bowl MDCCCLXXXVIII?

Dont mean to get depressing, but you can guarantee that by then the world will have been destroyed, or the human race will have been wiped out, or football wont exist.

The Eagles vs. The Patriots with Da Birds avenging their early season loss.

Of course I am biased in my pick of the Eagles though. This week is their tough game against the Packers, if we can get past them and suffer no more injuries we will win easily against either the Panthers or the Rams being the game is in Phila.

The AFC - I really like Tenn. but they are banged up pretty good with both McNair and George hurting. I am not that impressed with NE's offense but they should have enough to win this week and the winner of the Indy and Chiefs game I just think will have a hard time winning in New England in the middle of January. And outside the Eagles the Chiefs are my team. I would love to see Vermeil come back to play Phila in the Super Bowl but ....

In any event I just don't see that one dominant team - the one you can't see losing so anything is possible.

Besides as long as the Ravens are out of it I am happy. Brian Billick is a load.

Philly is the best NFC team but their one problem is getting to the superbowl. I bet they blow it in the championship game.

I think the two teams that make it to the Super Bowl will be good. And remember what Tom Landry said, "Luck is the residue of design."

I believe it was Branch Rickey who said that.

The only thing I think will happen in terms of the matchup is that I DON'T think we'll see a Super Bowl rematch of any Super Bowl of the past few years. That means no Green Bay-New England, St. Louis-Tennessee, or St. Louis-New England.

If the colts cant pull it off, I would hope to see a Tenesee-St. Louis rematch. One where the outcome is the same only this time, I bet the Rams would be the underdog.

Except Tennessee won't win this week because they're too banged up. Sorry, won't happen.

Ironicallly enough, i bet the matchup most people were hoping for, was Rams vs. Titans. They were both eliminated today. Strange....

I disagree with you there. I think more people wanted the Packers in it. Of course, I don't think they'll make it right now, but something in my gut is telling me they will, so i won't be surprised if they do.

Colts and Eagles... With the Colts winning. Manning is really pulling his team this year; he's nearly unstoppable. Twenty-two completions out of twenty-six attempts and five touchdowns against the Broncos? Can't beat that.

I can't believe Favre and co. couldn't pull through but I guess the better team won. I think Philly can keep it up and will defeat Carolina. If Manning plays the way he did yesterday the Colts will beat N.E. and will win the Super Bowl against the Eagles.

I'm with you, DJ, on Peyton. Something tells me he's going to take 'em all the way. N.E.'s defense is pretty tough, so I could be proven wrong tomorrow. But if anybody can do it, it's Manning. He broke and holds all the QB records for my beloved SEC team, the Tennessee Vols. I suppose on account of that, I'll be cheering the Colts on (since my Titans didn't get it done this year ). On the NFC side of the coin, I feel like the Eagles will probably take the Panthers. So, I'm hoping the Superbowl will be the Eagles VS. the Colts...battle of the QBs!
