I just checked the stats. Only 3.5% of all players in the game took Expos, and 0.6% took Marlins. Compared to 16% who took the Cubbies. I guess the rain scared most of 'em (incl. myself) away...

Man, I took the wrong offensive players from Montreal. Out of four players, two didn't play, one had an 0-fer first game, while Cabrera did alright netting me eight points. Hope Vlad plays in the second game.

3. Is it with players or teams? (You guys talk about teams alot)
4. Is it free?

1. Yes, especially when you're doing well
2. You spend whatever time you want each day. You just have to keep a roster of players, and each day determine which pitching staff you want for the next day. That it. It can take 1-120 mins/day... up to you
3. You build your own team of players, out of all MLB players...

If you've never done fantasy before, and you're a big fan, you'll love this. We'll help you from now until "Season Two" starts... then, you gotta work for it But it's definitely fun, and definitely cool to talk about at the water cooler if you're doing well...

Can I ask, out of absolutely simple curiousity, what has made this thread so popular? Is this Fantasy Baseball thing good? Do you really need to be interested in baseball to like it?

But those who are, are encouraged to join in, because the next "season" will start after the All-Star break, and scores will go back to zero... so now is a great time to practice for Season Two.

But I stress again, if you don't know the difference between the NY Mets and the NY Yankees, don't bother... :p

I hate polluting this thread, but here goes anyway...

I've never seen a rugby match in my life, but there are college rugby teams in the U.S. It's just not a "national sport" like baseball is. Baseball is bigger than rugby I think - at least it's huge here, and in Japan, Central/South America, and it's catching on in Europe. Baseball is America's pasttime (maybe second to American (non-soccer) Football)

I'd come to NZ in a heartbeat... just let me save up some cash. Just be sure to research/show me the hottest LOTR filming locations Love those movies!

But let me finish with this - this thread is for fantasy baseball fans, so I don't wanna pollute it...

P.S. Anton... man... you've never heard of the New York Yankees? THE biggest name in all of sports, globally?? There is NO team, anywhere, in any sport, more known than the Yankees... I saw footage of Iraqis wearing the interlocking NY on their caps... sheesh! :p

New Zealand, Australia, France, UK, all the Pacific islands, South Africa, India, Ireland, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and many more that I can't think of offhand...
