Congratulations to the "Rocket" Roger Clemens who joined two prestigious honors in baseball history by winning his 300th against the St. Louis Cardinals and striking out his 4,000th victim in a 5-2 victory at Yankees Stadium.
I now proclaim Roger a Don of Pitching in Yankees History. He has now etched his name in the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.
We should all pay respects to the ultimate of Yankees pitching.

P.S. Not to get in the way of Clemens historical night, I want to give a shout out to my boy, Melvin Mora. Hey guy, you had a hell of a hit streak (23), it don't matter, your still #1 in hitting in the AL. (#2 Next to Albert Pujols)

APF, Clemens is certainly worthy of all praise. I love the guy.

But only today has he etched his name in Cooperstown? He has been in for about 10 years now!

Also, the "Don of Yankee Pitching" is a bit much. Sure, I picture him in a Yankee uniform, but he had 200 wins and 3 Cy Youngs with the Red Sox and was also a Cy Young winner for the Blue Jays. He's a great Yankee pitcher, but the Don is Whitey Ford.

JINX…

Just kidding , you’ll be ok. Anyway, congrats to Clemens on #300. FINALLY the man pulls it off, and as a Red Sox fan I’m damn sure proud of him.
