Well, I eventually beat the train mission. I just kept doing it, and got lucky the time when I did beat it (Smoke killed the last guy right before time ran out).

I just did the Catalina missions where you rob from the 4 places. I don't really like the rural settings. I'd rather be on Grove Street.

Well I just had to find out one of San Andreas's new features the hard way. I was doing a mission in San Fierro, and it was one of the hardest ones thus far in the game. I was able to complete it. The last part was just to drive one of the guys back to his house, and this took me past the airport. Out of nowhere, a fucking plane crashes right on top of my car killing me and the guy. Just a warning guys, stay away from the airports if at all possible.

It's not just the airports. On the mission "Badlands", one airplane crashed near me while I was trying to sneak into the cabin. It freaked me out.

I have yet to experience an airplane crash. I'm on Jizzy's missions so I expect to get to Las Venturas tomorrow.

You have to finish the syndicate missions, not just Jizzy's.

I just finished the Syndicate missions like 10 minutes ago, and they are probably the best set of missions in the entire trilogy.

*****SPOILERS********

To all those who have gotten this far... Who thinks when you shot down Mike Turrino (Who has been one of the best villains in the series), he didnt actually die? Something about the whole situation has me thinking he survived the crash. Maybe it was because after you shot down the chopper, on the bottom of the screen it said, "Excellent. He cant have survived that fireball." Seems a little suspicious.

Beach Party Dance Level.

HELP!

The level where you have to get 4000 points dancing is impossible. Is there anyway to increase your dancing ability? I try and get almost every single one and still only get about 3100 points each time? This is the only mission I have left to do right now. But I can't get past it. Is there any way to raise your dancing level or something?

Ok. I got it, how rediculous. That's the second Dance Dance Revolution like level in this game.(And Hopefully the last)

That mission was a breeze for me. Just keep trying. And don't worry, the most annoying mission involving remote controlled planes is yet to come.

I will be in Las Venturas today or tomorrow.

I can't get by the level where you have to go to Loc's mansion and get his rhymes.

I also wondered if he had survived. Just the way the worded it.
When I heard James Woods was going to be in the game, I thought he would have had a much bigger part than that. So I'm sure he'll show up later in the game.

And I agree, he is one of the best characters in the series IMO. James Woods is such a cool and underrated actor. He was great in "Once Upon a Time in America".

Is anyone else's Playstation 2 messing up? On the weekend I started getting messages while playing that there was an error reading the disc, but it would return to normal after a few seconds. Then the message started appearing more frequently. Then on Saturday night, I tried to start it up again and it couldn't even get past the load screen. Then on Sunday morning it got past the load screen but froze up during a race. I looked at the bottom of the disc and it has a bunch of rings on it that I think somehow got on there from the Playstation because I've taken good care of the disc. Anyone else having this is or similar problems? Vercetti, how did you get yours to work? Thanks for any help guys.

I haven't had problems, but my friend had problems with games like you guys seem to be. He had to take the thing apart and clean out the lens and all that shit (if that helps).

I've sent it back before when it kept having disc read errors and haven't had a problem with it since then until now.

I havent even completed it yet, but I doubt his missions are necesary for progression. And i just reached Venturas, but I wasnt able to take much of a look around, because I got hooked on video poker for litrally 2 hours (no joke). I lost twenty grand.

i just played san andreas at my friends house.i noticed myself getting a headache by the odd yellow tint of the game.the fact that you can work your way up to having duel weapons is really cool.
i only went around los santos because i didnt do many missions though i swam to that san francisco area and right when i got up i had 4 stars.i think the area is amazing in terms of size.its also funny how everyone has a gun and a gang around every corner.i think if this game doesnt come out on xbox ill hav to get one just for this game.

Do you have to pass a certain mission before you can start taking over streets from other gangs? I'm not very far (just finished Catalyst.

Yes you have to get to a certain mission before you can take over territory. You got a ways to go if your on Catalyst.

To perform drivebys click R1 on a fellow grove street gang member and press the up aarow to recruit him. He will then follow you anywhere, even into the car.

I was finally able to fly tonight. Its pretty damn awesome. While it is much harder to handle the planes, they can go alot higher and much much faster (Especially the Lear Jet which flies at ridiculous speeds). The coolest part in my book, is that any time you bail out of the plane in midair, you go to skydiving mode where you can parachute on to whatever you feel like landing on. Also, you really dont get a great picture of how big San Andreas actually is until you actually fly.

Absolutely. If you are able to find a parachute seperate from the plane, then i suggest you take a racebike up to the very top of Mount Chiliad. Theres a look out ledge with a slanted memorial thing. Use that as a jump and take the biggest plunge in GTA history.

I agree, ditching a car after going off the mountain with the parachute is damn fun. As for cheats, http://www.cheatplanet.com
