This was a great realistic game. Weapons and cars were cool. The characters were cool and a very large city and countryside. I would put this game at my top ten games. What did you think of mafia?

I think its aright, although I hardly have time to play it. What reall pisses me off about it is that you play as a rat.
BTW_ Can anyone tell me how to get to Salieri's bar. I can lose the tail easy enought but the arrow tells me to drive off the freakin' dock! I also dont know any of the street names.

i played the game for about a month or so and i believe i'm near the end of the game. but the sad part is i got a "worm" on my PC and have to format my Hard drive. stupid of me i forgot to back-up my "saved game" on the Mafia and realized it after installing XP. :p

Superb game.

Played it from start to finish many, many months ago. Became a very unsociable bloke for quite a while during the time I played it!

Got to use your map until you get to know the layout of the city, which you soon will with hours of gameplay!

Yes, it truly was an immense game. I haven't played any of the recent GTA games which are apparently better, because, at the time, I simply didn't want to; Mafia was satisyfing enough. And yes, The Scottish Don is right in advising you to use the map! It's great when you know your way round the city as if it were real life, though.

I was kind of obnoxious for anyone looking on with me. But it paid off, now I know the place like the back of my hand.

Also, if this thread isn't too old, the official website has released a full save file addon, that allows you to bypass and select any level you choose if you're stuck.

How does that work, though, SS? Isn't that basically cheating? :p Can you just go on with the rest of the game and forget about the one thing you were trying to pass? Or will it start a demo-ish kind of thing on another game?

Don't laugh, but I'm still trying to get that girl to the theater on time. I keep getting TO the theater okay, but immediately, the thing comes up and says, "You have run out of time." I don't know how to get there faster... So skipping that pain in the ass would be a big help.

I can't believe how hooked I've gotten to this game. I'm not a big computer game person (as you can tell) but I was at Target a few weeks ago, and I saw it there for like $10, so I thought, what the hell. I bought it, and I've been workin on getting that bitch to the theater on time ever since. It's fun though.

Yes it is cheating.

Basically, the file that the website has hosted is a pack including a savegame file for every level in the game. So once you copy the download files into your savegame folder, you can essentially pick any level you want. It's probably wise to just pick the level just after the one you're on so you don't miss too much of the story.

I just started playing this game again and was wondering if anyone caught this:

There is a mission where you have to blow up an office in a hotel - the Corleone Motel.

This game could have been so much better, the free ride along with the missions. There werent enough weapons but enough cars. The game was mainly pc focused, so whoever bought the xbox mafia was screwed for loss of features. The guy wore one suit during the whole game. The graphics were choppy.I like 3rd person but I couldnt even see my gun when it was being fired especially the sawed off shotgun.Tommy was a made yet he did everything for the boss with no help, how bout some protection.
