I really enjoy David Chase episodes when he writes and my favorite director is Jack Bender.

Tim Van Patten seems to be pretty consistent in directing fantastic episodes. Something must also be said for Steve Buscemi who directed what I consider to be the 2nd best episode of all time, Pine Barrens.

Chase is also good though, you're right.

I dream in widescreen.

Van Patten is a great director, who has a passion for the material and it shows in the episodes he directed. Buscemi is also a good director of the show, as he has good relations with the cast to get great acting from them. I don't mind David Chase writing episodes either.

I'm a big fan of Terence Winter episodes, especially after meeting him in person. Robin Green & Mitchell Burgess always turned out great scripts, but they left the show...Matthew Weiner too, loved "Mayham" and "Luxury Lounge".

Tim Van Patten is the best, no question, followed very closely by John Patterson (RIP), who's done every season finale. The question is, who will direct the final episode of the series? Hopefully Chase..

I think writer Michael Imperioli has turned in some classic episodes.

Montauk

We might be able to tape the gun behind it.

Im a huge fan of Michael Imperioli's work. His episodes usually contain more action and more attention to the role of Chris and Aid which there should be more of.

1. Amour Fou (3) - Tim Van Patten
2. Pine Barrens (3) - Steve Buscemi
3. The Sopranos (1) - David Chase
4. Denial, Anger, and Acceptance (1) - Nick Gomez
5. Long Term Parking (5) - Tim Van Patten
6. Funhouse (2) - John Patterson
7. Mr. Ruggerio’s Neighborhood (3) - Allen Coulter
8. The Test Dream (5) - Allen Coulter
9. Members Only (6) - Tim Van Patten

This is a cool topic.

I especially like Chase, Buscemi, and Van Patten.

I worked my whole life - I don't apologize - to take care of my family...And I refused to be a fool, dancing on the strings held by all those bigshots. I don't apologize. That's my life.
