In season 4 and 5 it seems Tony is training Chris to take over so is he underboss and if not who is?

Chris is not underboss, and there is no underboss in the Soprano family. There's silvio as consligere and the rest top positions are capos.

Ok but it seems to me that Tony is training Chris to become the Don if anything should happen to him does that tell anyone anything I think it means something will happen to Tony.

Remember that Junior is still technically head of the family. So, in a way, Tony is the underboss or street boss. I just don't think that Tony, as intelligent as he is, perceives Chris has having the tools to be boss someday.
