In one of the episodes of Season 5 (I'm sorry I can't remember...I'm just hoping someone will know what I mean), Tony S. and Silvio are in the office of the Bada Bing, talking with another guy whom I can't remember... Anyways, they get finished talking, the guy leaves the office, and naturally, as the door is open, the music from the club gets louder.

At this time, Silvio points up, and does that silly smile/grin/frown/nod thing he does. Tony acknowledges him, smiles and nods his head as if saying "Ohhh yeah!"

I wanted to know what this was about. I'm guessing that what Silvio was "pointing to" was the music. If I'm right, what song is playing and what's the explanation behind it? I thought it would be funny if it was Bruce Springsteen playing, and David Chase put that in as a little joke for Silvio. But anyways, anyone know the deal behind it? I'll try and look the episode up.

If I remember correctly, they were in Adrianna's office in Crazy Horse. Some guy who was in a band owed Silvio some money and he had been asking Adrianna to give the guy's band a gig so he could get some of his money. I think in the scene you mention he was acknowledging that he got his wish.

Actually Urza, You're partly right.

It's a Little Steven song called Come To Me playing and it was added as a little joke for the hardcore fans, like myself. Rare because they have never really done anything like that before to insinuate who these actors really are on the show. But none-the-less, fun. (Little Steven is Silvo Dante, who is also Stevie Van Zandt in real life.)

Chase must have just been having a little fun.

The Doc

And you liar, teller of tall tales: you trample all the Lord's commandments underfoot, you murder, steal, commit adultery, and afterward break into tears, beat your breast, take down your guitar and turn sin into a song. Shrewd devil, you know very well that God pardons singers no matter what they do, because he can simply die for a song.
