right can someone back me up on this.

The fat guy that walks into the bakery...who had been parking his car...is VITO SPATAFORE.. or at least its the same actor i mean!!! the bakery guy ignores chirs..."what can i get you gino?!"...surely chris would know a soldier in the aprille crew who is the cousin of tony's best friens Jackie Aprille and also something to do with Spatafore Construction.

Are we just expected to ignore this serious breech of continuity?!

Thats where you're wrong...out there its the 1990s. In here its 1952.

BBB; same actor, different character. It was long before Spatafore was stemmed as a character in the show. You can spot Drea De Matteo, who plays Adriana, early on in the pilot as a waitress.

yeah i accept that its long before Vito was brought in as a character, but i still dont like the breach of continuity.

I think it is pretty poor of the shows producers to allow it to happen really. Bordering on amateurish almost.

I agree the "A...B play" is one of the funniest, but I also like when he is high on drugs talking about Liva Soprano at her wake.

"What I'm trying to say is......"(blank look on his face)

I thought it was funny

But wasn't that just Adriana? She was always a maitre'd there wasn't she? We just don't find out who she is until the next episode.

Well, I could be wrong, but isn't she credited as "Waitress" in the pilot's credits?

I dunno actually, I never noticed. I've been told I assume too much, this is quite possibly one of those cases.

The story is that there was originally no further depth to her maitre'd (sp?) part, but she gave the small role so much enthusiasm that when the series was picked up and they decided to flesh out the cast some more, rather then hold casting calls for Chris's girlfriend, David Chase remembered her and gave her the part, and her original appearance was worked into the story.

I voted for him sitting on the dog, but one of my favorites is when he is digging up "email's" body and the big guy says, "Is that him" and Chris say, "Well that would be some fuckin' coincidence it it wasn't." Every time I see it, I crack up.

Hey, remind me. Was Chris ever made or is that supposed to be upcoming?

My favourite hasn't been mentioned, I like it in the church when Johnny Sacks daughter Allegra gets married and Chris is saying something like:

"Allegra, isn't that a cough medicine?"
And Paulie says "It means happiness in Italian"
Then you see Chris thinking to himself then he comes out with:
"The fucks that got to do with cold medicine?"

I like how he never took crap off Paulie. Especially when Paulie sniffed Ade's panties from the dresser drawer. That took guts to stand up to a "vet" like Paulie!

[Paraphrasing...]

Tony: "You know, they say that the time we've been on this earth could be summed up by a postage stamp on the top of the Empire State building. You know how insignificant that makes us?"

Chris: "I don't feel that way."

Paulie and Chris, talking about the escaped Russian in The Pine Barrens episode (Tony just told Paulie over the phone that the Russian had killed 16 Chechnean rebels and had worked for the Interior Ministry).

Paulie: You're not going to believe this -- the guy killed 16 Czechoslavakians...He was an interior decorator.
Chris: (looks confused) His house looked like shit.

I'm surprised no one mentioned the scene in S2(The Happy Wanderer,i think) where he scams that butcher when he is buying fish and then makes Chip and Dale(Sean and Matthew) pay for it.Those were the funniest moments in The Sopranos ever...

But Chris has alot of them...

Jimmy Altieri:I got enough cologne on?
Chris:You smell like Paco Rabanne crawled up your ass and died

I just watched this episode last sunday. it was amazing. and this quote really was incredible. later on he tells Paulie to fuck off, Paulie says "what did you say?" and Chris replies:

"you heard me. capo or no capo, right now we're just 2 idiots in the woods"

I get really sad that the only time I'm able to watch The Sopranos is sunday at 1 AM (actually monday :P) and most times I fall asleep before. but if I keep awake until it starts, it really gets me up again. I really need to get more into it.

My favorite scene is when Christopher enters the room and says; "Sorry, I'm late but the highway's jammed with broken heroes on a last chance power drive!" He smirks and Tony replies with an agrily sarcastic quip about being cute. Good stuff.

You could think of these all day.

JT: Chris, you know me. What could you possibly do to me that I haven't been through already?
Chris: (Shaking his head) I'm postive we'll think of something (SMACK! PUNCHES JT IN THE FACE)

Went for the Adriana slap. I'm slowly coming to realise that he may well be my favourite character. When he tells her to go home and get his dinner ready. He can be the most thoughtful, sweet guy in the whole series and then have these wild moments of utter contempt for those he loves most. Brilliant.

I haven't watched that many episodes but fortunately I already caught all of these moments - probably one of the reasons why Chris is one of my favorite characters - and I have to go with the mock execution, which I just watched yesterday; I cracked at the way he gave himself away, and seeing that the next episode is titled "Meadowlands", I can sense there's trouble ahead for him.

lol lol

just seen my post above and remembered I thought "Meadowlands" was some kind of word play on Meadow regarding some effect on Chris but now I know it is just one ugly place in New Jersey... lol if only I was that creative all the time!

but of course the show has its way of never turning out as you'd expect. Chris only looked ridiculous but didn't have much trouble other than stalking Meadow at high school!

Something a little off topic but Christopher looks quite a lot like Skinny Joey Merlino huh?
Well kind of similar.

True, i thought the exact same thing when i first read "The Last Gangster" by George Anastasia, that picture of Skinny Joey sitting on a motor-bike is like a spitting image of Michael Imperioli as Chrissy Moltisanti. Even Merlino's wife Deborah looks a little like Adriana.
