I feel like a dog waiting for his master to come home, the way I'm looking out the window for the UPS truck! grin

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol

I don't know what I was thinking, but when I pre-ordered from Amazon I checked standard delivery not overnight. DUH...
I won't get it until Thurs, Fri now.

I guess I went to college to be stupid.

I just spent almost 4 hrs with the Bonus disc alone - this is great stuff!

I compared the timeline from my site (started in 1996) as was proud that most of it matched with Coppola's -- in fact, I think he got one or two wrong wink

The clips from the Oscar acceptance speeches was a nice bonus. I'm not surprised that they didn't include "Brando's acceptance speech" (the one delivered by the "Native American"), but it'd have been nice to have for historical reasons.

The other videos about the music and cinematography, etc, were nice, too - didn't think they'd be so detailed - great stuff!

*Still drooling*

*Wondering if it's too late to start on the GF1 commentary... me thinks... no!* grin

Laters...

I can claim that i was the first person to buy the DVD collection in Australia on the 8th October at 2pm.

Due to having it on reserve at a department store, as soon as they arrived in the storage room i got a call.

I also put my name down to have the point of sale material used in promoting the collection.

I am in heaven with this DVD - Just a couple of suggestions:

*Next time bring out the epic
*Have all the actors acceptance speeches
*Have a "bloopers" segment; showing all the errors
*Have some kind of a commemorative book, or plaque to make it a little bit more special. Make it a collectors edition or something.

I would also like to have seen De Niro's acceptance speech.

De Niro wasn't at the awards ceremony. The Oscar was accepted by Francis Ford Coppola.
