Maybe it's just me, being a Brit and all, but does anybody else think Tony's dress sense is terrible?

He dresses quite well imo

Junior Soprano: Tony, if you're gonna lie to me, tell me there's a broad in the car waiting to tongue my balls.
Tony Soprano : Hey, you want that, it's a phone call away.

Ha ha!! Sometimes when I see some of the shirts he wears, I think he should have a camera around his neck, cause he looks like a tourist!
But I think it fits his personality! That generation of mafiosi I guess dropped the suits with the carnation in the lapel.

I think Paulie likes to be the spiffy dresser, right down to his shoes don't you?

Yes, TIS. Paulie and Silvio are the ones that still wear suits most of the time.

Tony dresses exactly like my dad and I think its great! It definitely suits his character.

Well, Paulie sometimes wears his jogging suits but I dont think I've ever seen Sylvio out of a suit.

Yes, I agree that it suits his character perfectly, but maybe not the Mob Boss role. Thanks for the input, which was more than I expected, what with this forum all but dead at he moment.

tony has got to be one of the best dressers even though he always isnt in a suit. his polos and slacks look freakin cool on him too. track suits have also always been popular with mob figures. i think the majority of italian american mafia fashions have been fabulous.

but i for one also think that the best dress gangster in a movie that i have seen has got to be Ace Rothstein in Casino.

Maybe Tony dresses down because he doesn't want to look like a boss, and wants the Feds to be focussing on Corrado and the other suited-up Mafiosi? Tony wants the money but not the hassle, that's why he passed the "Boss" job over at the start.

I'm not much into Tony's style, but I like Paulie's tracksuits and some of Silvio's suits. They make up for the look.
