I've always wanted to see a show but I dont have HBO and I dont know if it's any good to begin with. I wanna know if I should buy the dvd boxed set maybe..thanx

I think you should, and so will most of the people in here since it's a Soprano's forum.

I didn't see The Sopranos until the third Season started and I rented season one (didn't have HBO). I was very pleastantly surprised. I fell in love with it right away. Now I have HBO only for the Sopranos.

Just Lou is right, on this forum everyone will tell you to get it. However, if you are into the mafia/gangster flicks, then I would imagine you'd love it as much as the rest of us. Perhaps you could rent the first episode or two and get an idea of what it's like, before you buy it.

It's a great show, but I think we are all biased. But you can't argue with all of those Emmys that the show has won.

Never seen it?? Wow, I don't know what to say other then SEE IT! I don't have HBO either, but older seasons are already on basic cable channels in Canada, so I'd bet they are as well in the States.

Here in the States, Sopranos is and probably always will be exclusively an HBO show. Because of content, I could never see the show getting syndicated on TNT or FX or one of those basic cable networks.

i dont know anyone who has really loathed it after watchin it. people who hav watched but dont love it will never say its a really crap show, unless they really dont hav a clue about tv shows. it might not be your taste, but u definitely WONT hate it!

my advice is, that if uve joined this board in the first place then u will this show!
