Hahaha. You just couldn't resist being first, could you, Paul? You were probably the first kid in school to finish his homework too!

Two good episodes in a row and next week's looks like a scorcher. How about that Valentina La Paz?! Man, Ralphie C. is into some weird shit. Paulie dealing with the "Old ladies" was hilarious, the principal running through the hall chased by the Doogie Howser guy and that other dude was a classic. The scene with Furio talking to I think it was his uncle in Italy was great as well. Anyway, looks like this season is starting to pick up.

Not a real barnburner, in my estimation, but some interesting developments, especially with Furio and Tony's finding out about Ralph's sex life (or lack thereof). Wonder if that's the reason for what we saw with Ralphie on the previews? Yeah, Valentina was a dazzler, all right! All in all, however, I'd have to say it was the worst episode of the season thus far, but even having said that, it wasn't all that bad really. A lot on my feeble mind, so I probably just wasn't into it tonight.

I wasn't too happy with this episode either. Things are just scattered this season. The story line is kinda all over the place, and they are leaving a lot of loose ends. When are they gonna get back to Adriana becoming an informant? I think that would be a much more interesting story line than Ralphie's weird sex tastes.

Is it just me, or is everyone and their mother a capo on that show now?

I can't believe Tony would take up with a woman who's sleeping with Ralphie. What a dog Tony is.

Doesn't anyone think it was "great" the way Carmella handled the broken nail? Leaving it by Tony's keys. Tony knows she took the money, but doesn't dare to say anything or he'll have to fess up to her, and Carmella I think knows he knows as well. but she played it "cool" I thought it was great!

I think this will put a damper on Tony's and this new girls sexlife, but we'll see.

I think Tony was a bit turned on by what she did.

I think next week is where the issue with Paulie comes to a head. He's complaining about his finances but he's too worried about trivial shit.

Hi,
Next weeks episode looks like the crap hits the fan. This week Tony found out about Ralphie's sex life from Janice for money of course. Furio was in Italy and did anyone catch the look on his face when his Uncle said KILL the boss. Carmella took the money as payback for Tony's messing around and he KNOWS. She was watching the cooking show and the host had a pony tail like Furio. Paulie and his mother were funny. No one wanted to include her so he breakes the guys arm to send a message. The poor old thing was crying.

The usual post after each week is "It looks like things we get good next week" Well that has been going on for 8 weeks now.

Tony new girl is hot but I liked her the first time we saw her in season three when she was Gloria Trillo. Although there nice to look at they have been going to the Gumah well to often.

Looks like Ralphie may get whacked for his unusual sex habits. Or maybe he will tell another Ginny Sac joke.

The Furio, Carmela thing is also getting tired. My wife watches a day time soap with a Mob storyline . It might be time to start setting the VCR ?

We know Chris has a drug problem for over 10 episodes.

Tony is Greedy, Fat & Selfish. I don't feel sorry for him any longer.

There are only 5 episodes left. I don't know if they can turn it around.

We need more Junior, Paulie , and Silvio

Hi,
Next week they did show Junior and his trial. The actress who played Valentina wasn't the same one that played Gloria Trillo(Annabella Sciorra). They do look very much alike.

The girl who plays Valentina used to be on the TV Show "Head of the Class". She has a spread in this month's issue of Maxim magazine. You can check it out on their website at http://www.maximonline.com.

Paul I know it's a different actress that is playing Tony's new gal Val. My reference to her & Gloria is more like " Been There Done That"

I agree Oblong, judging by Tony's facial expression, he seemed to be somewhat "smirking" as though he were proud that she was so clever. I don't think he'll be mad about the money, but he will need to watch his step with his latest "whore".

Although I'm sure Valentina is nice eye candy for you boys, she definitely seems to be on this side of psychotic!

Seems she noticed she lost her "nail" and wanted it to be found. And her comment about saying that she says she loves someone to soon, but she's "working on it"

...big red flags, but Tony seems to fall for the damsels in emotional distress.

Hi Capacino!

Yes, I agree with you. Right from the beginning when she made Ralphie step in the dog doo, she tried to put the moves on Tony. You would think "red" flags would go up when he meets these losers, wouldn't you? We know what he was thinking with tho, don't we?? Or he just likes physcos.

Btw, from a woman's point of view, don't you think it was cool how carmella took that money and left Tony unable to confront her with it??? I think that was great!!!

One would think so, TIS, but Tony is REALLY looking to filling a void in his life....some fun with a woman he loves. He tried with Carm (with the cold water in the shower) and she rejected his stunt with much anger. I almost felt sorry for Tony then (it was an attempt for the two of them to share a light moment). He had to laugh when the salt shaker came off over his steak, so we know (at least) that he can laugh at his own misfortune, too.

I see your point SC! Don't get me wrong I love Tony's character and I wouldn't have him play it any other way.

However, Carm has been let down and cheated on so many times by Tony,(even tho, she could/should leave him and not put up with it), she loves him, but always has her guard up and it makes her somewhat "icy" I think.

I think that "salt" incident reminded Tony that he did have a sense of humor and he went home and tried it on Carm. However, I don't think Carm is use to a "playful" Tony. Granted it would have been nice had she responded in a laughing manner, but I think she forgot how to.

Hey TIS!

yeah, I did like the unspoken "understanding" between the two!

What I don't get, is Carmella claims to have made her peace with his goomahs but obviously she hasn't. I know she loves him, but this is the life she chose, she knew that. I by no means am an advocate for betrayal, but this is a tv show and it's just part of the arrangement!

I did also feel sorry for Tony that Carmella wouldn't join in the light moment in the shower. I know she may have forgotten how, but she may never had enjoyed practical jokes, as she said he did that on her honeymoon and she found it unpleasant then too. That seems a shame she's lacking a goofball sense of humor, you need that in life....any life.

Also, she is not oh so innocent herself. If only in her heart. You know she would jump Furio in a second, and what about that contracter a few seasons ago that she hired to do her walls? If push came to shove you wonder how true to the marriage she'd be...Maybe we'll find out unfortunately at Furio's expense.

Oh and TIS I wanted to mention, but forgot!
Have you ever seen "Mind of the Married Man"? I've not watched alot but have seen the last few and the last one had one of the characters who keeps trying to bed a co-worker. She keeps professing all of this respect for the marriage. He keeps trying and one of his last comments was "this isn't about my wife or marriage, it's about you and me!"

I think men do sometimes view it like a seperate entity. Let me qualify with SOME men

He further said, "we're friends, we go out and have dinner, what's wrong with getting each other off?"

Looking at it from HIS perspective, it almost seems plausible doesn't it? In the real world though there are hearts involved and much more. Personally I could never hurt another WOMAN like that. It's forgotten there are always someone else's and if there are kids possibly many feelings involved. Not just something to pass the time and/or feel good.

Anyway, even though it has zip to do with the Sopranos, I think Tony uses a bit of that logic, it has nothing to do with Carmella. He takes care of her, she doesn't have to work, he buys here expensive trinkets and furs, what he does to relieve his stress is his business...So HE thinks.

She saw Tony messing around in it a few episodes ago and he gave some lame excuse. It was when they first started talking about money. She was probably suspicious then but figured she'd give him the benefit of the doubt. When she saw the nail, she knew he was the same old Tony so she decided to act upon her suspicions. She's always hoping that he'll change.

Hi Cap,

I have seen previews of "Mind of the Married Man" but have never watched the show, so I can't really comment on it.

Yea, I can see where Tony wanted a playful moment, and Carmella basically ruined it for him. I know she is well provided for by Tony too, and could leave him, but my sympathies still go more toward her than Tony, even tho I believe Tony loves her.

True, maybe she'd "jump" Flavio in a second, but we don't know that yet. There is a big difference between fantasizing and actually following thru with the fantasy. You are so right in that something like that (an affair) can seem like it's only two people involved, but most times there are children as well as a wife.

For those women (or men) or have lived through it, I think it leaves a lasting "sting". Something that's not considered when entering in an "affair" (Somehow affair doesn't even seem like the right word, but that's all I can think of right now)

Btw, they did go to counseling once, remember? I don't think that will happen again.

I guess I am just old fashioned and perhaps a dreamer, but I'd sure would like to believe that "fidelty" is possible.

Like I said earlier, I just love the show and Tony is one of my favorite characters. I guess discussing everyone elses flaws is part of what makes it so interesting.

Have a nice day Cap!!!
