Aw, man! Heavy episode! I was saddened to see that Mr. Paul Pisano was correct about poor Bobby Baccala's Karen! I'm gonna have to stay away from your posts, Paul! And it looks like Bobby is going to be consoled by... Janice?!?! ! And what was Janice's deal with Ralphie?? Was that the only way she could break up with the guy?? Man! And is Ralphie a closet *** or what?? Yuck!
Paulie's yapping to Johnny Sack, Johnny Sack is royally pissed at Ralphie now (via the joke about Mrs. Sack)...and was it Paulie who leaked the information about Tony buying up property? I see a gang war on the horizon between New York and New Jersey. From the preview for next week, it even looked like someone was going to try and take out Tony.
Silvio went a little overboard over the Columbus-Indian thing. As Tony told him, "We're in business." And what was Artie going along for the ride for? Was that his "Wise Guy Try-out" or what? If it was, he failed miserably (big wuss).
It's obvious Carm's still got the hots for Furio. Where's that headed? I noticed Adriana is being awfully quiet these days...

Bottom line, another great episode!

Hey! Looks like J Geoff has an automatic editor now for racy words! Anyway, just FYI: The "***" above was a three-letter slang term for one who loves sex with someone of the same gender!

Man, that stuff with Janice and Ralphie at the beginning was pretty nasty...anyways...I think the theme of the episode (Native American protest over Columbus Day) was quite interesting and somewhat of a break from traditional topics covered on the show. Two great lines from this week: when the Native American chief mentions in the restaurant that he had business in Manhattan anyway Artie Bucco says "Oh no, not again" (The First Nations selling the island of Manhattan to the Europeans) and near the end when Tony's going on his tirade about how Americans have gone soft Chris says "What, Gary Cooper was gay?"

Did anyone else notice that Karen was the same actress that played Big Pussy's wife? I swear it was the same one. I can't find the credits but when I saw her with the others at the luncheon I was thinking "Why was Pussy's wife there?". I then thought maybe she was Bobby's sister or something.

Is it just me? I swear it's the same person.

Looks like Paulie's setting up Ralphie pretty good. He's not blabbing. Yes he told a joke about Mrs. Sack but everybody laughed at it-Tony even grabbed him as if to say "good boy".

Was Janice doing what I think she was doing to Ralphie?

Furio was giving it back to Carm pretty good.

I like how Silvio had that look on his face when told that "James Caan's not Italian". He didn't know.

I too thought that Karen Baccalieri was Angie Bompensiero. At first I didn't think much of it, since Ang hung out with Carm and Ro even after Pussy "disappeared." But then they started talking about Karen and I was able to piece a bunch of stuff together.

I was really hoping that Artie Bucco was going to be a bad-ass, but I thought his hiding in the car was pretty funny.

It was an okay episode, but I was hoping to see more about Adriana's meeting with the Feds and maybe catch a shot of taping a wire to her bare chest.

There's been a word censor here since Day 1 - just for the slurs or curses I find most offensive, while still allowing good old fuck and shit. But that's off topic

I have to listen to that whole last scene again, when Tony was going on about Columbus Day. I didn't get the drift of what he was saying exactly. Was he saying just to let the whole Columbus Day thing go????And how about his last sentence, "Ask Frankie Valli", then they play a Four Seasons song???

Man Janice is something else too! I can't believe that girl! Yes, and you're right Snake, they way she broke up with him. Seems like there would be an easier way. She's crazy. I am new with HBO, but is Ralphie married to that lady? What's her name again? I didn't know he was married. She looked like Christopher's mom.

Hi,
Was it true that Iron Eyes Cody was Italian as mentioned on the show? Janice and Ralphie turned me off in the beginning. Ralphie is sick in the head. Even Janice came to this realization after talking to her shrink. Paulie is still in the can and has limited scenes. It looks like Johnny Sac wants to whack Ralphie. The end of the show was funny. Tony is giving his speach to Silvio.

Silvio's facial expressions in the ride back home were hilarious. And what was Tony getting all angry about anyway? I see where Silvio is coming from.

TIS: Ralphie was not married to Rosalie Aprile, but they did seem to be living together. If you don't remember, Rosalie is Jackie Aprile's widow, and the mother of Jackie Jr, who was whacked at the end of season 3.

I was not a big fan of the Columbus Day storyline. It seemed like the crew was spending way too much time and effort on something that wouldn't really bring them any money or power. And I thought that the whole Iron Eyes Cody thing was kinda lame.

I don't even know who Iron Eyes Cody is. But, to stay on topic (Italians playing Native Americans), in wrestling (the WWF), one of their popular characters was the "Indian" Chief Jay Strongbow. He was played by an Italian guy (Joe Scarpa).

He never coulda outfought Santino.

I can't believe that Chris's lovely girlfriend Adriana was hardly mentioned here (except by the equally lovely Don Corpuzzi ) .....

So, is she wearing a wire or just taking it all in to report back to the Feds?
She's being awfully quiet ...... you can see she's got that scared / hurt look on her face.
(She's scared that she's going to get hurt as soon as Chris or Tony find out she's been turned.)

What do the Feds think Adriana's going to be able to come up with? That woman Fed that was undercover ought to know by now the Chris doesn't tell much "business" stuff to his girlfriend....

Other notes:
That scene with Janice and Ralphie in bed was pretty sickening.

I had to laugh out loud when Christopher's take on the whole " Columbus / Indians " back and forth discussion between Tony and Silvio was to ask " Gary Cooper was Gay? "(paraphrase).
Kinda reminded me of last season when he and Paulie misunderstood the background of that Russian hitman and thought he was "an interior decorator", whose livingroom "looked like shit". (again, paraphrased.)

Oh yeah. Furio and Carm are gonna get it on sometime soon. That could be a hot scene.
On a related note: Don't need to see a Bobby / Janice coupling.

Hi,
James Caan was mentioned in the episode. When Ralphie confronts the chief about Iron Eyes Cody, he replies, "So what? Everyone knows James Caan isn't Italian." I laughed like hell.

Carm noticed that something was up with Adrianna. Did you see her stare at her a couple times? They never showed Christopher and Adrianna together. Are we to assume she didn't tell Chris what happened? How much does she really know anyway?

It also seemed to me that Furio gave Carmella a "look" this time. I hope nothing develops. They'd both be crazy. And what about the priest having that anit mafia speaker. Was that deliberate?

Hi,
That isn't Tony. It is the fat guy, George that works at the Bing. I also thought that it was Tony but someone at another forum told me it wasn't.

I actually felt it was a dissapointing episode overall. It kind of killed the momentum that was built up after the first two episodes.

Janice and Ralph - We did'nt need to see that. It has been established time & time again that they are both sick individuals. We do not need anymore proof. It added nothing to the show.

Melfi and her X - What was the deal with that 4 second scene. Did they bring her X back for that.

The other thing is that you can not rely on the previews and comming attractions. Some of them are shown so out of context. The scene for next week in the parking garage with Tony will end up being Tony turning to AJ and asking him if he wants to get pizza

Hi,
I was reading the episode synopsis for next week in TV Guide and things are GOING to HEAT up rather quickly. I won't say anything more as not to spoil it.
