I highly recommend the first two seasons' DVDs. (The third season will be released on DVD later this year).

I'd also recommend the "soundtrack" tape (or CD)("Peppers and Eggs"). It has a great collection of music and even some dialogue.

This thread is now being moved to the "Other Mob Films" forum.

Is the soundtrack just instrumental or famous artists?

Its a collection of songs by the original artists (vocals). It contains many songs from the first three seasons, and it includes the show's theme song.

The Sopranos DVD sets is one of the best investments I ever made. I try to watch one a day (in order, of course). Can't hardly wait 'til Aug. 27th, when season 3 finally hits DVD! (Oh! And welcome to the boards Ice Kold!)

The Sopranos is totaly worth getting. I got my whole family watching the show.

Leonard: I dont know. See, I have this condition.
Teddy: Well, I hope its not as serious as his, 'cos this guy's dead.

You should definitely buy them. I would suggest fast forwarding through all the scenes with Tony and his Mom (that chick gets on my nerves). Season 3 comes out 2 days before my birthday so you know what I am asking for.

I bought seasons 1 and 2 last November without ever having seen the show. After watching a few minutes of the first episode, I was hooked. I watched all 13 episodes of season 1 within a day, and season 2 over a span of a few more days. I even subscribed to HBO so I could watch the reruns of season 3, and I'm anxiously awaiting the start of season 4.

Just in time for us to buy the season 3 DVD on the 27th, re-watch seasons 1, 2, and 3, and settle down for the premeire of season 4.
