Lets try this topic again: with a few months change, there are maybe more people you'd like to see in a dream fourth Godfather.

Assuming Shire and Garcia are 'in' as Connie and Vincent respectively.

Bridget Fonda: Grace Hamilton-Mancini
or
Diane Lane: Vincent's wife

Franc D'Ambrosio back as Anthony along with
Marisa Tomei as his wife

George Michael as Victor Rizzi

Kirsten Dunst as Mary Mancini-Vincent's daughter

In my script i WOULD have a big fantasy family reunion: so to channel my previous topic I would bring back Sofia for one scene, and one scene only for old times sake. Assuming there is one, would you recast the role, and if so who else would you use?

And the big casting decision:
Robert Deniro as Nik Stephanopolous: a Greek businessman who manages to "whoo" Connie out of the family fortunes leaving everyone penniless. The result is the death of Connie and Vincent via a blaze of bullets while leaving a courthouse.

in my humble opinion that plotline involving de niro would make for one of the biggest flopes in cinematic history.

LMAO at George Michael!

well of course that is your opinion, and you are very well entitled to it-i just disagree. Maybe i envision it playing out differently and more effectively than the written account suggests.

And being from London, i would think you would recognize the great performer in George Michael, who besides looking just like a Corleone, i bet is actually a very decent actor. Not to mention, it is of my opinion that if a Part IV is made, i would like all stops pulled out, risks taken, and famous people involved.

kasanova is right.

GF IV would be a bad idea to begin with.

But 'pulling all the stops' as suggested, and ESPECIALLY the DeNiro idea (which I doubt he'd ever agree to do)...would cheapen, trivialize and make a joke out of one of the most superbly classic series in film history.

At least GFIII took itself somewhat seriously, even it it did fail to rise to the level of the first two.

Just thought I'd mention that, since we're all entitled to our opinion.

No, no, NO! You've got it all wrong.

Considering the fact that De Niro is too old now to portray a younger Vito Corleone, the role will now go to...

Sean Penn.

Sean Penn looks so much like De Niro it's insane.

Johnny Depp MUST be in the movie in some sort of role... preferably as either one of Vincent's half-brothers that attempt to steal the family business away from Vincent or as a younger Fredo.

Those are my ideas so far.

EhEm.....any Italains? For the most part,(especially Vito) the Corleones need to be played by Italians ,or people who can act Italian to some degree. (Jimmy Caan)

Let's hope not.

Perhaps you've managed to come up with the perfect plot and cast.

At last!!

Let's get those cameras rolling...

Thanks for the insightful post

I believe this topic was designed to have YOU cast the movie and in what roles. Have some respect-i would never respond to you like that unprovoked.

Now, will you please, instead of judging my dream casting, list your own.

And so my choices aren't the usual suspects, who cares?

Yeah, let's not have people post their crazy casting ideas in here. If we're not careful, we might get up to two or three posts a day in this forum, and of course we don't want that.

EnzoBaker:

If there were meant to be 2-3 posts a day into this forum, I have a hunch that would've happened already.

A simple check of previous threads on this subject would probably prove that just about every amateur casting and storyline idea has been virtually exhausted.

I think the opening line of the opening post said it all..."Lets try this topic again..."

The overwhelming response so far seems to scream out..."Let's not."

But, who knows? Maybe over the weekend there will be a few incredibly original ideas, some that might even cause FFC to take notice!!

I actually feel that if paramount were to pull out all stops into a part 4, and FFC came up with an original and new concept to fit into the godfather saga, then i would be excited in seeing a new sequel/prequel to the corleone saga, however in my opinion the plot and cast chilltown has proposed would be an insult to the epic known as The Godfather.

OH YES! Wouldnt that be GRAND?! Because we all know FFC, Al Pacino, Robert De Niro and other various assorted other celebrities have nothing better to do with thier time than come around here Anyway, I dont really have any casting De Niro as Vito thats the only thing set in stone for me, then if I get my way with my script (hey I can wish right )then I would probably just have an open casting call like in Part 1 and go to some plays and look for actors there.

I think that the Godfather Part IV (if they ever make one) should be based on the book, The Siclilian!

Dear God, no. There was already a Sicilian movie, and from what I heard it was terrible.
