i really don't think there could be another godfather film because most of the actors that made it so brilliant in the first place are getting too old to act or they were killed off in the actual film. MC, DC, SC they all died

Surely you don't mean to say the likes of Al Pacino is too old to act? Vito was dead in the original but made him as the younger Vito in the sequel. Personally i'd rather not have a GFIV but to explore the possibilities are endless.
So die all who betray Giuliano

It depends on wether or not you see another film as a sequel, a prequel or a seperate story altogether.
Of course Pacino & Duvall are too old now to get away with making a prequel to the current trilogy movies.
I would like to see a movie based on the story of Vito's rise to power. We see him starting out in the flashback scenes in GFII and the begining of GFI see'e him at the top of his powers.
As to who would play Vito? who knows!

I think a GF4 will be a disaster, and here's an analogy from the Marx Brothers' career that might explain why:
During their early movie career, the Marxes were fortunate to attract talented producers like Herman J. Mankiewicz and Irving Thalberg. These guys believed in making good Marx Brothers movies, and gathered the writing and directing talent to make that happen.
The brothers' last good film, "A Day at the Races", was the one where Thalberg died during production. After that, the studios didn't care about the quality of the films. They only wanted to use the Marx name to put butts in the seats. The only reason Groucho and Harpo even did their later films was because Chico, a compulsive gambler, was in constant need of money.
That's what I fear what will happen to GF4. The suits at Paramount probably think they can make a quick buck by plastering the Godfather name on some second-rate Mafia story. Do they really care about making a good Godfather movie? Or will GF4 be the saga's equivalent of "Love Happy"?
