I read on AmericanMafia.com that, since the death of Chin Gigante, Dom Cirillo became Boss of the Genovese Family, but I also read on GangLand.net that Mario Gigante became Boss of the Genovese Family.

Is Dom Cirillo Boss of the Genovese Family with Mario Gigante acting Boss, while Cirillo serves his four year sentence in prison for racketeering charges?

Who is acting Boss? Dom Cirillo or Mario Gigante?

See, we can act as smart as we want, but at the end of the day, we still follow a guy who fucks himself with kebab skewers.

Back in 2004, GangLandNews revealed Mario Gigante as the new boss taking the reigns from the committee of Cirillo, Dentico, and Barbato. Read the article here:

http://www.ganglandnews.com/column382.htm

But, when Cirillo was arrested in 2005, GLN called him the "acting Genovese family boss." Read the article here (scroll down to "Feds Put Quiet Dom On Ice"):

http://www.ganglandnews.com/column427.htm

Maybe Mario Gigante has taken control since Cirillo was put up on those rackateering charges, but then again, the boss by committee approach could still be in effect too. Perhaps this confusion over who's really calling the shots was the desired objective?

Now, I havent followed the affairs of LCN since the dapper don went to be a guest of the federal government, but, if there is something sure is that this guy Mario is gonna take over what was once Quiet Dom´s. Cause nowadays a Don in jail works for nothing (lets be truthful, the golden age went away).
