I don't know when it was, but I just recall my parents telling me about it when I was younger, it was (I believe) in the parking lot (?) of a pretty fancy Italian restaurant, I don't quite remember the name, it's on the tip of my tongue!

Just wondering the basics-where, when, who, etc. Or any links you may know of would be great, too. Thanks a lot, it is much appreciated!

I worked my whole life - I don't apologize - to take care of my family...And I refused to be a fool, dancing on the strings held by all those bigshots. I don't apologize. That's my life.

Also, this (the above post, of course) is my first post, so "hello" to everyone else out there! I've always been fascinated with anything and everything Mafia-related, so I'm really looking forward to using this site often, now that I'm registered, and to make it even better, it's very clear from many of the posts I've already read on here that there are a ton of friendly, intelligent, and knowledgeable folks here. So, I'm looking forward to learning even more. Cheers!

Oh, and I forgot to mention that the topic in this thread is of particular interest, because I was born in Milwaukee and lived there until I was 14, when I moved about 30 minutes away. Been living in Wisconsin my whole life, so I'm always really interested in any Wisconsin Mafia info.

No one has anything huh? I've tried googling it, but still came up with nothing.

You provided us with very little to guide us and some very vague clues! We've never met you and don't know your current age, so telling us it happened when you were 14 doesn't help.

Do you remember roughly what year this was?
How about the time of year (the month or even just winter, spring, summer or fall)?
Was it in Milwaukee or in one of the suburbs?
Do you recall hearing any of the names, even a nickname?
Do you remember the name of the restaurant?

It's possible organized crime might have been involved in the incident you remember, and it's also possible it was a murder mmistakenly attributed to organized crime by someone you know but there may have been some other motive unrelated to orgainized crime.

Fill in the blanks and we'll have a better chance to point you in the right direction.

Welcome to the boards!

the only trhing i got was -

If Balistrieri was influencing Las Vegas’s underworld, he also was held a tight grip over the day-to-day criminal operations and their operators based in Milwaukee. On September 11, 1975 gambling operator August Maniaci, a suspected informer, was murdered by several gun shots outside his Milwaukee home. Another suspected informer, August Palmisano, was slain by a car bomb on June 30, 1978. A witness claimed to have seen Chicago Outfit member and a suspected hit man, Charles Nicoletti, near Manaci’s home moments after his murder. Nicoletti, who was believed to have been a close associate of Balistrieri, was murdered on March 29, 1977.
