What's the difference between a Scotto Capo, and a Capo Bastone? Are they one in the same?

"Fredo -- you're my older brother, and I love you. But don't ever take sides with anyone
against the Family again. Ever."

"My father taught me many things ... keep your friends close, but your enemies closer."

"I know it was you, Fredo. You broke my heart. You broke my heart."

I think you might mean Sotto Capo.

Sotto Capo and Capo Bastone both refer to an underboss.

Thanks SC. I'm involved in a Mafia game, and the rank that was used was actually Scotto Capo. Hence my curiosity. Thanks for the help.

Indeed! Scotto in Italian means "I burn"...

- Lord Vader!
- Yes, Master.
- Rise.
