Hi,
This is the guy Pesci is based on. However he is a bit different than the character portrayed by Joe. In real life he had a wife. In the movie he was single. Tommy is a very funny guy never took place according to the book Wiseguy. It was Tommy and Angelo who killed Stacks. Tommy didn't kill Morrey(Marty Krugman) either. That took place after Tommy's killing. In Goodfellas, henry said they had to have a closed casket because they shot Tommy in the face. Untrue. He disappeared and was never seen again. Another book says that he was tortured and probably gave up Henry and Jimmy. Nothing came of it because both were earners.

His true story would have been interesting enough, "Hollywood" didn't even really need to change it, for whatever reasons they thought they needed to.

on CrimeLibrary.Com I read that Pesci's characters was based on both Thomas DeSimone as Lenny Vario, the son of the mob boss, so that he had the personal characteristics of two persons combined. This was done for some plot-technical reason (read about it on the site's Lufthansa Heist coverage)

I believe I read somewhere that Joe Pesci made up the 'What so funny about me?' scene.
Genius!!!!!!!!

I'm very proud to say that when I saw Pesci the first time in RAGING BULL, I thought that he would become a major star. His only problem is the very limited range of roles he can play.

The two Home Alone movies could have been the fatal blow to Pesci's career. Another factor is that Martin Scorsese may be the only director who can use him effectively and in proper roles.

in Raging Bull, Bobby De Niro personally pick Joe Pesci for the role . . .

Yeah, I heard Joe Pesci was just about ready to retire permenantly from acting. Pretty ironic.

Hi,
Joe Pesci was also in Easy Money with Rodney Dangerfield.

I read somewhere that Pesci was working as a headwaiter or maitre d' at the time. You probably know that he was in a famoust Twist band of the early '60's--"Joey Dee and the Starlighters." He made an album: "Little Joe Sings." He and Frank Vincent also had a comedy act at one time.

Pesci was also incredible in Lethal Weapon 2. IMHO, I thought he deserved an Oscar for his amazing performance.
