I'm not 100% sure what's going on with him lately. Is he even still alive? Last I heard, I think, he was dying of cancer.
The Graphics Calculators the maths students have to use at school have games on them and one of the games that can be put on the calculator is called Gangster, where you are John Gotti and do all these crimes and stuff. Someone asked me the other day if he was still alive and I had no idea what to say to them.
Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah he is still alive but not for long. he is in bad shape.

Last I heard, they'd transferred him back to the Federal prison hospital in St. Louis.

I do think that he got caught up in his own headlines and thought he would never be convicted. Yes, he will never see the outside world as a free man again. His son seem to follow the same fate if he doesn't wise up.

Gotti believed his own press clippings and ended up in the same place he started his career. There are countless other mobsters serving life terms in harsher conditions (i.e. the Colorado Supermax) that get alot less sympathy and attention than Gotti, who seems to get a newspaper page for every heartburn or acid reflux attack he gets.
