Was just reading an old book- and have never heard anyone discuss this over the years. Book is called Breaking the mob written by Frank Friel/ chief investigator who investigated the Philly mob

He said they had a wiretapped call between Salvi and Scarfo- I think it was when Scarfo was inside La Tuna or when he was just released, and Salvi was complaining that Chuckie ‘was an asshole and not looking after business and a drunk’

That’s what made Scarfo turn against Salvie- well one of the many reasons

We’ve discussed how Chuckie felt disrespected over Maria but this was also a huge factor. You do not call your soon to be father in law and underboss an asshole

Scarfo also took offence because this was before Chuckie was always drunk and embarrassing the family, especially when they were at that sit down with NY- and Scarfo made a play for one of the girlfriends

That’s when he was taken down not long after

But prior to that, Nicky took offence because it’s like Salvie was questioning the way Scarfo was not in control of his underboss

I don’t think Salvie meant it that way but because Nicky was super paranoid, he would have taken it the wrong way.

Just like the time when a soldier told Scarfo (out of good faith that Blackie was getting too old and that Patty Specs) was a lot more capable for the role

It was good advice, but Scarfo immediately took offence and said to Phil this guy is getting too big for his britches

I’m hammered right now in AC with a couple guys I know from Ducktown who were tight with Nicky Jr and Phil, the stories are phenomenal. Just betting on all the games and drinking heavily at Neighborhood bar in Ducktown. Everytime I come on here I have one of those stupid messages.....Can’t believe it’s already almost Sept , this has been the weirdest summer at the Jersey Shore I’ve ever experienced in my 35 years....I haven’t pumped a weight since March, “7 Days without Training makes One WEAK”

Great book. Just finished it last week. Yeah apparently Pat The Cat told Scarfo that Patty Specs would make a good Capo of the North Jersey crew. Scarfo said "Maybe we should put suggestion cards on the table like the ones they have in restaurants." Spirito didn't last too long after that.

Actully, gentlemen...it was chuckie who made the remark about the suggestion box....that book is good only 2 a certain point very old...Serpiente is 1 2 ask about subject matter..I was around.. but very young..I do remember when Nicky threw (banned) Salvie from the props(26 N.Georgia ave)...because of an argument that nobody has a clue about...(maybe Serp)...but all in all...I was sick when I found out my older friend was no more..FUCK SCARFO...I hope he's burning in hell now.

Yes, Pat The Cat made that remake and ironically that’s exactly who Scarfo made capo not long after- Patty Specs

As for Salvi situation, he might have thought he was doing the right thing by reporting on Chuckie. But at that point Chuckie was not only his old friend but also underboss

And at same time, it does seem Salvie was getting too comfortable. It’s one thing to say someone is drunk and not around to handle business but another to call him an asshole- that’s just brazen and Scarfo was one of those people (like my own father) is a tyrant that you always had to watch what u say around

Salvie read his cards wrong and paid for it

It happened at a sit down when Scarfo met with NY (Leonetti) didn’t say who- but they were upstairs having a meeting in some restaurant

And I think the girlfriends were downstairs

Chuckie was drunk and made a play which pissed off NY and they made excuses and left once the meet was over (was supposed to have dinner together)

After that, that’s when Scarfo denoted Chuckie

Steve Martorano had on his Instagram page yesterday from down in lauderdale at Cafe Martorano, he was hanging out with John Ciangliani and someone else not familiar with and chang even commented on the instagram; I am sure he was down there seeing joey...... not sure who the other guys were but; Martorano who seems like a great guy says they are all family

seriously? Mobsters on Instagram? LMAOplease (no one) don't ever try and convince me the MOB is anything but a gang of really stupid criminals. Why not just put up billboards and announce where you are, where you're going and even throw in the crime and victim while at it. Staying in the shadows doesn't happen that for sure
