I have to wear a mask every time I go lift weights at the gym and lifting weights with that thing on your face is extremely unpleasant. I do as well but I take it off once I'm in the gym. I wear it when I go in and when I go out but I do cardio for an hour and there's no way I'm wearing that thing doing cardio for an hour. Been doing it for a few weeks and no one's said anything to me. About the same for me, Irishman. When our gym was open, I wore a mask in and out, and when lifting. But, I took it off when doing all-out cardio on a recumbent bike because my goal was to get my heart rate above my age-adjusted max--and there was no way I could do that with a mask. I didn't see it as risky because the gym was practically empty, especially the cardio room which is separate from the weight rooms. Gov. closed AZ gyms again on 7/27. They may reopen next week, but possibly with a mask-at-all-times mandate.

You have to make appointments for specific times and there's usually 140/150 slots available and there's maybe 20-30 people there. Also, there's usually at least 6 feet from the machine I'm working on from the next person's so that's why I don't feel guilty about it. But like olivant, I wipe down my machine before and after use. The pool just opened but I haven't been brave enough to try it yet. They weren't the best at keeping it clean before COVID-19, so I'm not trusting them now. Also, I go on weekends with some friends to a man made lake that's close to me and we open swim there.

The rate of deaths in Texas has been accelerating. It took 53 days to get from the first death to 1,000 deaths and 39 days to get from 1,000 to 2,000 deaths. On July 10, the state surpassed 3,000 deaths — 24 days after 2,000 deaths were reported. It took only 10 more days for Texas to reach 4,000 deaths and only 6 days after that to reach 5,000. Thus, 20% of all virus caused deaths occurred last week.

Four Dutch patients have been re-infected with the corona virus, these are patients who developed complaints after a previous positive corona test and then turned out to be infected with the virus again. This is the kind of news that make you pause, if ever a vaccine can be helpful at all, and if herd immunity ever kicks in. I'm hoping these are just sensational news.

It made sense for Trump to go to Walter Reed Hospital, out of perhaps an excess of caution and because the hospital has a presidential suite equipped with communications, security, sanitary conditions and top-flight medical people so he can be safe and conduct business. I also note that he was able to walk to Marine One to get to the hospital.
But, he's been uncharacteristically silent since then. You'd think that Trump, who has dominated the news cycle more than any other president, would have tried to make a live or filmed personal statement about his condition, and would have been tweeting away, as he always has done. As a result, the media are getting conflicting statements from others about his prognosis. He's at serious risk because of his age, his weight and his pre-diabetic condition. As Hollander said: the disease is unpredictable. In our small congregation, a 65-year-old woman had a mild case, a 36-year-old woman had a case bad enough to land her in the hospital for four days, and another woman in her 90's seems to have made a complete recovery.

I just watched him making a statement, and he is tweeting again, so maybe one day of radio silence at most? Makes sense, he was getting a plasma transfusion, so that might have been doctor's orders. I hope he pulls through, he is quite energetic for his age, (knock on wood ) and I don't know about you guys, but I need him to win.
