Is there a case in the Sicilian mafia of families that were still extremely well off and taken care of even after the man of the house was murdered?

Monday afternoon at Belmonte Mezzagno, ten kilometers from Palermo, construction contractor Giuseppe Benigno, 45, was injured in the arm and shoulder during an ambush. He was going along Via Kennedy aboard his BMW as it was flanked by two killers on a motorcycle who fired several shots. He was the driver of Filippo Bisconti, former head of the mafia district of Belmonte Mezzagno and today one of the last repentants of Cosa Nostra after his arrest during the "Cupola 2.0" operation on 4 December last year.

Cupola 2.0, can anyone explain please?
Just Sicilians or all societies (CN, Ndrangheta, Camorra, Masonry, etc), thanks.

The Inzerrillo, Gambino and Figliomeni busts not that long ago Cupola 2.0?

Benigno attended an interpovincial meeting held in 2016 in Catania. Eastern Sicily, along with several bosses of different provinces.

Molochio, the Cupola 2.0 probe focused on the Commission in Palermo province. But there is also a so-called 'supercupola' that controls the mafia, camorra and 'ndrangheta. A "global" criminal organization including political leaders, Freemasons and diverted secret services.
At the top there is however Cosa Nostra, which holds the balance of the enlarged organization in which the Sicilian mafia, 'Ndrangheta, Sacra corona unita and Camorra come together.

Thanks, I think we touched on this in other conversations. Do you know if there’s any truth to Riina and Provenzano doing some pentiti forgiveness ( ie. Inzerillo) for this reason. If so, what about Leoluca Bagarella, does he even get mentioned?

Definitive release for the boss Massimo Mulè. The Cassation has finalized the release order of the boss set in recent months by the Court of Review .

Arrested in the investigation Cupola 2.0 that disrupted the Palermo clans and unveiled the attempt to reconstitute the Cosa Nostra Provincial Commission, had requested his release, but the Review had rejected the request.

There are statements of several repentants who have indicated Mulè as head of the Ballarò family in Palermo.

Ambush at Zen 2, in Palermo: last night a 48-year-old man, Salvatore Maranzano, was ambushed in Via Costante Girardengo, right in front of the front door of his home. According to preliminary information Maranzano, ex pip now a janitor at the comprehensive Falcone dello Zen institute, is in critical condition in the trauma center of the Villa Sofia hospital.

According to witnesses, there were two killers aboard a scooter. More than one person, among those who watched the scene from the balconies, stated that a silencer was mounted on the gun. According to what has been learned, Maranzano has no precedent for drugs, but for crimes against property.

Police arrested a 65-year-old man, Gaetano Giampino, accused of the attempted murder of Salvatore Maranzano, 48, which took place in the Zen district of Palermo.

Giampino would have fired two pistol shots at Maranzano, after the neighbor had insulted his wife. The forty-eight year old was seriously injured in the abdomen and operated on the night. It is life threatening.

Maranzano had insulted the woman who, with her car, parked in front of a supermarket, prevented him from maneuvering. From here - as reconstructed by the flying squad and by the colleagues in the investigative department of the police station of San Lorenzo - the furious reaction of her husband, who challenged a 9-caliber pistol by firing two shots at Maranzano.

Police officers arrived at Villa Sofia last night called by emergency room health workers. The patient had been rescued by friends and relatives and taken to hospital in a car.

With the cupola, does the mafia act more as puppets of the political leaders, Freemasons etc.? Or are they equals as some mafia members of the Sicilians and calabrians are Freemasons themselves?

From what I have discovered it’s One Blood, specifically Lucifer. Southern Italy was the Kingdoms of two Sicilies. Now it’s one kingdom under God Father/Mother, with Lucifer being the blood of the children. It’s related to Noble Black Blood, not what Tarantino says in True Romance. Rather, royal black blood like Caesar (ie. Satan). Satan being a duplicity with Archangel Michael, Prince of Heaven and Prince of Darkness, guided by the light (Lucifer). The Mason, Mafiosi, political are all blood through that trinity. The Mafiosi/Prince/Princess would/will be able to embody either or all three in order to re-establish Roma to all four corners of the globe.

In the end, these will be the means to the end (Caesar is God/Goddess) for Eternity. One of the family names of Noble Black Blood is Pacelli, others are Orsini, Medici, Sforza mostly found in Northern Italia, Milan, Venice etc.

When people say number 3 was shit or made no sense, I don’t think they grasp these undertones. Or that the whole movie is about Sicilians and the Church, hahaha

3 was a mess as a plot, I think that’s why people didn’t like it.

For sure, I totally understand. But the Church and the Sicilians is so interesting and it’s in front of all of our faces. What I know about Masonry is that is how you hide something Occultly.

I also think of Bernardo Provenzano in his Bishop disguise, avoiding capture as a fugitive

Also they hang a guy from a bridge in London at the end of 3, just like Calvi has hung for P2.

Giovanni Grizzaffi is referred to as the boss of Cosa nostra in Corleone.

Today the carabinieri of the Ros have carried out a seizure of assets of 500 thousand euros from his brother Mario Salvatore Grizzaffi and his family. They are nephews of Totò Riina (sons of a sister of the boss).

It's part of the recent investigations into the powerful mafia mandamento of Corleone, earlier seizures of assets were against Totò Riina and his brother Gaetano, currently detained, and the brothers Rosario and Calogero Lo Bue.

How has Stefano Bontade’s family not been targeted by authorities since his assets were never seized? I’ve seen many people on here say he was the wealthiest mafia boss of his time.

Matteo Messina Denaro's driver : "The secret services offered me a million and a half euros, they told me" we change your life to know where hides the most wanted man in Italy".

Francesco Mesi talked in a TV show on RAI3, he had been indicated by the repentants Sinacori and Brusca as the driver of Matteo Messina Denaro and had returned from the same Spanish clinic where the fugitive boss had gone.

Francesco Mesi always denied having collaborated and favored his inaction. "I always have it in my heart, he is a decent person".

Denaro must be giving him way more than 1.5 million euros.

There is a new repentant mafia in Palermo. Emanuele Cecala , killer from Bagheria, has been working with magistrates for a few months. His 30-year sentence for the murder of Antonio Canu, who was killed in 2006 because he was stealing without authorization from Cosa Nostra, recently became final.

I read it was a reorganization in the Messina area of several former collaborators of justice, who would have restored contacts with the organized crime of origin.

Police arrested in Messina 14 members of the clan based in the neighborhood of Giostra on charges of mafia-type association, drug trafficking, extortion and illegal possession of weapons. The reputed acting boss was the ex turncoat Nicola Galletta who was filmed while presiding over several mafia summits in his restaurant in the center.

If I read that correctly Nicola Galleta was a pentito that was absorbed back into CN. I guess the buzz about Binu structuring a forgiveness to pentiti may be true.

Yes, Galletta and 4 other former turncoats wanted to control the clan they were all sentenced late 80s. Luigi Sparacio, the so called boss of bosses of Messina started to cooperate in the early '90 but the police found out later he was a false turncoat manipulated by public officials.

Wouldn’t that put Denaro at risk regardless? What if law enforcement gets a hold of the driver and tortures him?

They already put many close relatives and friends under great pressure, but I guess not many know where he really stays they were a few times very close but he always managed to escape. The interview with Mesi looks like a part of a PR campaign.

Police in Palermo arrested Salvatore Milano, known as "Totuccio or Tatieddu", accused of extortion aggravated by the mafia method against a Palermo company that paid for 20 years considering lace as a business cost.

The man is a historic figure belonging to the mafia family of Palermo Centro in which he held, among other things, the role of cashier of the mafia mandamento of Porta Nuova providing for the support of prisoners or those who have recently been released from prison.

He was arrested in 2008 and sentenced by the Court of Appeal of Palermo for mafia assocation following the operation "Perseus", during which it was discovered the first attempt to reconstruct the Palermo Provincial Commission of Cosa Nostra.

In this intent he was instead succeeded by his nephew, Leandro Greco, grandson of the "Pope" Michele Greco.

The mafia boss Filippo Nania , 91 years old called "Fididdu", definitively sentenced to 416 bis, committed suicide in his home, in Partinico, where he was serving the sentence to house arrest since 2016 after a period of imprisonment in the Opera prison in Milan .

According to a first reconstruction, Nania would have climbed a ladder about half a meter high and would have attached himself to a rope inside the garage. The carabinieri of Partinico are investigating.
