No way. The Genovese family found out about the sitdown and knew that it was serious since Sonny did not sit for him. Michael walked away, but word got around to the other families. If Michael said before he got made that Chin or someone higher up in the Genovese family wanted him transferred to their family, then I would say that is believable, but made and have a serious sitdown, especially over a large amount of money being held onto, and your own father is not even going to be in corner. They knew something was not right and you can tell members of other family that use to socialize with Michael stopped visiting.
