I believe that Cosa Nostra and Stidda have fought. I believe Provenzano while a fugitive had disputes that resulted in people dying with the Stidda
Cosa Nostra killed a lot of them , even Matteo Messina Denaro killed some of them personally.
About Stidda in Marsala.
All started with the murders of Francesco Caprarotta and Vincenzo D'Amico, boss and underboss of Marsala crime family, disappeared in 1992 killed by the 'Corleonesi' after a meeting attended by Toto Riina, Mariano Agate, Matteo Messina Denaro and Antonio Patti.
After these murders Carlo Zichittella, member of Cosa Nostra crime family based in Marsala, founded a Stidda family in the town supported by Giuseppe Grassonelli and Orazio Paolello, bosses of the Stidda in Porto Empedocle and Gela, in order to fight the 'Corleonesi'.
On March 14 1992 the Stidda killed Antonino Titone and attempted to kill Gaspare Raia and Antonio Patti; On April 7 the Stidda killed Angelo Lo Presti.
After the murder of Titone, Toto Riina sent the killers Matteo Messina Denaro, Giovanni Brusca, Leoluca Bagarella and others in Marsala and in a few months they destroyed the Stidda in Marsala.
